Bottom line: The problem is we are a one dimensional football team. We should not be in the playoffs if we cannot run the damn football.

re: Good series Tiger baseball fans

Wasn't a good series for us, baseball gods turned their back on us...nothing we did was right...no starting pitching, no bullpen, no clutch hitting...recipe for losing a lot of SEC series. Hoping the young men on this team don't give up and keep working hard, maybe they will get better and we get more breaks in the second half.
I agree 100%, when you sit on your heel with one leg laid out, you definitely cannot physically react quick enough to get your body in front of an errant pitch to either side. Glove side is a little better only because you can reach but an errant pitch to your non-glove side becomes very difficult to get in front of from that position. I guess current coaches believe that position allows the greatest overall plate coverage without having to move. I was taught the squat position allows the greatest mobility to either side though and once you shift after an errant ball you can then go down to one knee to block. None of our guys do that though, so obviously things have changed since my old arse played. Another thing our guys don't do very well is frame the pitch. Milazzo and Neal or OK but Travinski is awful. Arkansas's catcher saved his pitcher's numerous times by framing pitches into strikes.

You know it's bad when SEC NOW is showing today's highlights and LSU is the only team they don't talk about, they showed a couple of highlights, mainly from K St, and moved on to the next game. Every other game they voiced opinions about how they project them going forward into the season. I guess their rule is if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing! Which they did.
Nevermind I found the pic, it was someone else
He was at the game, there is a pic last night of Bryce Underwood down on the field...PJ Woodland is standing right beside him to the left in the pic. I could not find the pic or I would have posted.
Ole Miss's scout team was harder to score against than LSU defense last night...hell our scout team maybe better.

re: Will LSU beat Missouri?

Missouri has pretty dam good receivers...I don't think we can beat anyone comfortably besides Miss St. I say we struggle again and lose a close one. We come back home and beat Auburn, get blown out by Bama, squeak a close one out against the Gators and lose another close one at home to A&M. 4-4 in the SEC and 8-4. Go to a shitty bowl and that no one goes to.
Against FSU everyone said the problem was that we couldn't match up man to man. So now we know we can't play zone either. The defense was actually better against FSU; at least we were competing for balls. Last night OM receivers were catching balls and there was not a DB in the picture and they were ten yds up the field before a LSU DB could even miss the tackle. We looked like we did when Pellini was DC...DBs/LBs did not know or understand their zone responsibilities leaving gaping holes on the field.
Part of the problem is JD struggles to hit a receiver in stride, minimizing their ability to gain yardage after the catch. The only guy he hit in stride was on the wheel route on the first play. Most everything else was a curl or some type of comeback or stop route. Our guys were getting some yardage afterwards but usually not more than 5-10 yards, with the exception of BTJ at the end of the game against Fl St's bench players.

New Clock Rules

Posted by TigerNTampa on 9/4/23 at 5:11 pm
The new rules to shorten the game are absolute BS. They did not shorten the game at all; they only added more commercials at the expense of less plays. I read that there were over 100 commercials in the last night's broadcast. If this is the norm than the college game will lose me.
9 wins max, I see losses to Bama, Ole Miss, and maybe A&M or Auburn at home. Coaches have some serious work to do as this defense quit in the second half...if this is not fixed we could lose more.

Live in South Tampa, we are going, we got excellent seats for cheap from a Fl State fan. So we'll be cheering the Tigers on from the enemy side.

135 in the middle of the Seminole Boosters...blast, we better play well!
I so confident...my tickets are on the enemy 50, right in the middle of the Fla St Boosters.

Last year the Tiger Alumni were meeting at WalkOns in Midtown. The alumni have a Facebook page; you can check if they are still there.

I am Tiger fan who works at Special Operations Command here in Tampa. I have had several West Point alumni approach me about going. There will be a significant number of WP alumni, who have heard about the LSU Game Day environment, take advantage of the opportunity to visit Tiger Stadium.
Don't know if you checked the price of tics on Stubhub...lower bowl start at around 900 each for between the 20 yard lines 4-500 for endzone. Hope they drop.
