Ronald is at least taking walks and hitting the ball hard some. Riley looks hopeless.

He is making some hard contact, but he is having some really ugly ABs as well.

He didn’t look quite like himself on that SB attempt either.

But you are correct, Riley DEFINITELY looks worse lol
Ronald and Austin are both TERRIBLE at the plate right now. Luckily Drake has (knocks on wood) been hot…..and now Olson is really heating up. That is keeping us afloat for right now.

We are going to need them to start contributing though

Let’s hope we saved a few runs for tonight.

That’s what I was worried about last night. It sure seems as though anytime we erupt for a big game offensively……the next game is a snooze fest offensively.

Matt had the only REALLY squared up batted ball so far for the Braves. Hopefully the offense gets going

Austin drives me fricking bananas in his ABs. He nearly ALWAYS takes the 1st pitch (even if it’s center cut), then chases in an 0-1 count.

They keep pitching him first pitch center cut pitches…..and he keeps taking them.

Start doing damage on those pitches, until they start pitching you differently!

I can’t frickin stand LeBron but this is a ridiculous question. Of course he is.

This, and I DESPISE that POS

Olson drilled that one. Drake also hit it on the screws.

Matt definitely destroyed that fastball, hopefully that gets him going.

Drake has AMAZING pitch recognition for a player that young (even for a catcher). He doesn’t chase many bad pitches, and he absolutely pulverizes pitches in the middle of the zone. He looked overmatched when he first came up last season…….but that didn’t last very long lol

Hopefully Ronald and Austin will get their timing down soon. They are both caught in between……late on the fastball and out in front of everything off speed

That is a very interesting looking picture with the snapper.

I can’t stand you frickers…. I can’t unsee it, and I can’t stop laughing now

There is a high probability that there will be opportunities for a trade back……but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that. Micky has said multiple times that he doesn’t really believe in trading back (paraphrasing of course).

He believes in getting their highest graded player on the board at their selection. He doesn’t believe in taking lesser players to acquire more picks

Yep. I keep waiting for Acuna to do something

Can’t keep counting on Drake to carry the offense. He has a very advanced approach at the plate for as young as he is……but he’s is also handling a staff. The kid needs some help from the rest of this damn lineup
I would lose my shite, not sure I even want Tate at 8…..much less trading up for him
Another inning of shitty ABs from the meat of this lineup (except for Baldwin). Drake is about the only REAL positive in the lineup right now
Yea, Olson has been good (outside of 2024)….but he’s not Freddie.

I have been saying for the last two seasons that AA has been shitting the fricking bed.

I remember how the school's administration treated their lacrosse team.

Given the decades long trend in higher ed, there is 95% chance it is worse now. Likely most of the "Duke 88" is still there.

This is why I dislike Duke so much. They KNEW that the count was lying, but didn’t try to help or protect those guys because they knew the POS media was making it into a race issue. They were fricking cowards.

Once it was proven that she lied, that fricking count should have been vigorously prosecuted and sent to fricking prison.

The blabbermouth from ESPN disagrees with your assessment. They already have Shedeur

There were plenty of mental giants on this board and on X that were ADAMANT that Shedeur was the best QB in the class last year, and that the Saints were stupid to pick Shough instead of him

This post aged well

WRC+ of 98 for his career. Decent for depth, but you shouldn’t be counting on him for meaningful ABs. It worked tonight though…..so we will definitely take it
quote:

“Sorry arse Don Smith” you say? lol

Unreal. Braves were dead in the water. What an inning.

Definitely happy with the outcome, but he’s not good. He did a good job of working the count there. Esevez had no choice but to throw him a fastball to try and beat him.

Either way it’s a W lol
quote:

Good performance by Lopez. Hopefully we get him off the hook.

Lineup definitely let him down tonight. Going into a season with sorry arse Dom Smith as a DH option is a losing proposition. That’s on AA
The way Wacha is carving this lineup up……I don’t think it matters so far. You are right though……. I don’t know how the hell NO ONE on that umpire crew saw that he CLEARLY released the ball at least a foot and a half away from the bag
quote:

The were out of challenges before I was able to sit down

Was a terrible challenge by Ronnie.

Some really ugly ABs so far tonight, hopefully they can figure Wacha out and put up a crooked number on him soon

The questions remained unanswered and we can’t confirm or deny what we see on tape. Exactly the way they want it I presume

I wouldn’t melt but personally I’d pass on both Bain and Bailey at this point. Will be curious is Bailey ducks the 3 cone, shuttle and bench at his pro day.

The more it goes, I think I agree with you. I think in the 1st it should be any of Tate, Lemon, or Delane. I still like Love, but I seriously doubt they pick him after investing what they did in Etienne.

Honestly with this many questions about this many prospects (and they all seem clumped together)……positional value should hold more weight IMO. So those three I named should be good.

The FO did so well in FA that it’s hard to bitch…..but it sure would have been nice to get Chaisson on the deal he got lol
quote:

Bain will workout at his pro day. There are questions that need answering but I wouldn’t ding him for not doing the combine. We see this every year with guys who make deep postseason runs who want to let their ailments heal

What are your thoughts on it now Bud?
