I get the defenseless player call, but two players that were both taught as 4th graders to lower their and make the play seems shld go both ways or not at all
Can an offensive player be called for lowering his head?

If the rule is to protect both players, seems it shld go both ways.

Both the GA targets last night seemed the offensive player was lowering his head just as much either to protect himself or gain an advantage.

Is the ultimate desire that both players keep their heads up and meet mask to mask?
