Friend of mine who is a Vandy grad and his great, great grandfather is the one who got money from Cornelius to start the school and is buried on the campus, 3 of his kids with 4.0 and 35-36 ACT were wait listed at Vandy.

A guy I graduated with in high school that had a mediocre ACT and GPA got into Vandy, graduated, and has been very successful ever since.

I also know a ton of guys that got 35-36 on the ACT that have done nothing.

Say what you want about Malcolm Gladwell, but he hit the nail on the head when he compared the diminishing returns of intelligence to the height of NBA players. The greatest player in the history of the NBA wasn’t the tallest, he was just tall enough.

Is it right in the range. You have to have more than just a good SAT/ACT score to get into Ivy schools.

A 34 puts you into the lock range when you’ve already made 30 million dollars based on your own efforts.

How many standard deviations from the mean do you think that combination probably is?
quote:

Correct. I was coming to post something similar.

Where the fvck did you go and what was your ACT?

I can only name 4 and they all happened under Wes Johnson’s watch in 1 year. Noot, Shores, Edwards, Taylor. Maybe I’m missing something but there was a pattern.

You’re a clown, and nobody should take you seriously.

Wild sample size to use for conclusions.
Damn, it sounds like you suck OP.

The quality dropped off immensely around 2010. I can't even imagine how bad it must be today.

You're projecting.

Sorry for whatever happened to you around 2010.

Your a idiot.

Well done!

ETA: I think using an “a” instead of “an” is even better than hopefully intentionally misspelling “you’re.”

It was clearly a movie and not a film, but it was shockingly good to me. Probably the 2nd biggest surprise for me in recent memory behind Ford v. Ferrari. Just a silly premise that doesn't take itself seriously but never comes close to crossing the line of campy.

Jesus Christ.

The media narrative about 1st round picks has caused severe brain damage in NBA fans

You're starting to compete with Pride for the most obnoxious poster on TD.

Or play elite defense.

They can’t move the game or it screws the broncos Game is tomorrow. Either Chiefs can make it or they can’t. This is 100% on them The truth is there is likely going to be a gap in the weather at some point. It’s a charter flight so they can take off right away

My man is a fvcking simple smooth-brained idiot, but I trust him when it comes to weather and meteorology

I just don't see it. Not just because Daniels is a more dynamic QB than Nuss, but also because I don't think our returning receivers are anywhere close to Nabors and BTJ.

I have no idea how this is a controversial post. Daniels, Nabors, and BTJ were far superior.

The bengals have one of the top paid QBs, the best wr in the nfl, the nfl sack leader, another top 20 wr, etc

They haven’t extended the top WR in the league yet.

Hendrickson has already demanded a trade because he’s underpaid and they won’t extend him with guaranteed money.

Tee Higgins wants a long term deal and they haven’t given it to him. Outside of Chase taking a discount, they probably won’t ever be able to get it done, and it’s not because of the salary cap. It’s because of how players want contracts structured.

They failed to resign an all-pro safety because they didn’t want to pay him.

Carson Palmer forced his way out.

Andrew Whitworth.

Every NFL team that’s serious about winning uses void years to spread out future dead money, but the Bengals won’t do it because they hate dead money and don’t want to put cash in escrow for guaranteed money.

The lack of funding for facilities, scouting, etc is well documented.

This isn’t complicated or confusing.

quote:

You have no idea what this means Bengals have one of the highest caps in the entire nfl, aka spending the most money Being cheap has nothing to do with payroll

You obviously have no idea how guaranteed contracts work or why they matter to quality free agents, but being ignorant has never stopped you from looking like a fool before so I’m not surprised by this post.

Arguably bigger hits in Hockey and those guys play 4 games a week

Wait, who’s arguing there are bigger hits in hockey?
