I can’t disagree with you but UT & TAMU have received oil royalties from land in West TX that was given to them in the 1800s before oil was even discovered on that land. Over the years UT received about 2/3 of the royalties from that land & TAMU received about 1/3 of the royalties. That’s why they have the largest endowments in the SEC.

I was there. Very cold. Great win for the Tigers!
Most LSU fans I know who have lived in TX for a while develop an overwhelming dislike for atm - even more than for the tide. I have lived in TX for 25 years and the disillusioned arrogance of aggies is tough to stomach. I only know a few tide fans here but I know/work with hundreds (maybe thousands) of irritating aggies. Atm is probably the most difficult fan base to be around if they are winning. I will always pull for them to lose in all sports, even against the tide. And I really despise the tide.
Woodrow's is under new management & no longer offers special pricing for LSU events. The LSU alumni groups have moved over to Christian's Tailgate on White Oak for football games. You may want to check with them about baseball games.

Very disappointed that toonces is there. Otherwise very cool.
The turning point for me was the BCSCG that we lost to the gumps. Prior to that, LSU football was a big part of my life. I read a lot of articles, watched game replays, listened to radio shows about LSU FB, & followed recruiting very closely.

After that game, my level of interest in LSU FB dropped off quite a bit & I have not recovered yet. I realize that game was huge, but I'm not sure why one game led to such a big dropoff in interest in a program that I followed so passionately for over 30 years, even in very disappointing years.

Maybe I'm not a true fan, because this toonces thing was way beyond my level of "giving a crap".

You may not be a true fan. Toonces was a total embarrassment to LSU fans. I’ve talked to so many LSU fans who have avoided buying toonces items, but would have purchased non-toonces merchandise if it had been available. The person(s) responsible for approving/sustaining toonces should be called out. The logo should have been canned years ago. I have recently started to slowly build back my LSU clothing/merchandise collection that was largely stifled during the toonces era.
The fact that LSU has had success in athletics during the toonces era is just a coincidence. Just imagine how much more LSU merchandise would have been sold absent toonces.
Nice pic, but that car is a 1957 model..I think Auburn won the FB title that year. I would like to see this car in the Coronado Yellow color offered by Chevrolet in 1957.

Other than those minor issues, the car looks outstanding!
Call Tim Weaver to reserve parking at Ci Ci's Pizza. Great place to tailgate close to the stadium.

TAMU how did you only beat Ole Miss by 3?

TAMU how did you only beat LTU by 2?

Just don't understand this attitude. Another school is parading your only national championship as their own? I thought apathetic Ags were few & far between...

Move Over Ags; Forget 1939

Ags, you should be aware that USC has claimed the 1939 football national championship. Several years ago they added the year 1939 to their list of national championships painted in big numbers on the outside of their football stadium. Apparently, someone working at their school discovered that a couple of obscure polls actually voted the Trojans #1 in 1939 (see links below). USC's practice is to claim itself champions in all years that it was voted #1 in any final poll, no matter how minor or obscure the poll. Using that approach LSU could claim 7 football championships & TAMU could claim 5; however, there were only 3 championship flags in Tiger Stadium the last time I visited.

If Manziel wins the Heisman LSU fans will lose their fricking minds. They'll hold "24-19" parties on campus. Manziel's numbers if that game will become more famous than those from their national title victory against OSU.

Not true. LSU fans really don't care who wins the HT unless he be an LSU Tiger. The parties are reserved for LSU championships.

I've heard from countless Ags how much they wish they could play the LSU & UF games again, but I can tell you that LSU fans wish they could play the UF & AL games again too. Mett is a much better QB since Oct. 20th & his OL & receivers are better too. ATM is not the only team that has improved through the season.

I'm in the Friendswood/E. Pearland area.

Big Woodrow's is a great place but pretty inconvenient.
