Another short lived flop in BR was Bluefish Grill off of Corporate. They had that huge arse aquarium in the middle of the restaurant. Always liked that place as a kid
Also not sure if anyone mentioned the Rum House. Another failed NOLA restaurant in BR. I always thought it was pretty good though, was surprised when it closed

Would they really be considered a "flop"?
Place had a pretty decent run of being pretty much the best pizza in the city.
Seemed to over-expand, and I understand some family issues helped ultimately do them in, but a "flop"? I don't think I'd call it that.
agreed, but i would argue it is a flop considering how good it was and it still failed. maybe a "fumble" would be the better term here

We have been wondering how Wahada is doing these days. Such nice people.
It is completely dead every time we pass.
my daughter has been getting into sushi so we go sometimes and it is always dead. it isnt bad for the price. i think they do a lot of take out/delivery and provide their own delivery service

Koi was great. Wahada is very similar (the old Arzi's location in the old Brewbachers shopping center on Nicholson where A&M Mart is) and i think i heard it is owned by the same family

DeAngelo's had a great run here in BR, expanding outside is when things started to go south
They really did, was really sad to see them go. I went to the location on Lee drive often, you could definitely start to see it going downhill. Sad. As another poster said, the sensation salad was amazing. Also has really good calzones. RIP

Welcome to the new generation. They don't really want to bother with you, but they want your money. You say thank you and instead of their reply being the traditional YOU ARE WELCOME, they respond 'NO PROBLEM'. We now have the culture of a lowly third world country. Law & order, and general societal standards are being erased (in all seriousness). Welcome to King Barack's America. Hopefully, we as a nation can see a rebirth in culture and standards thanks to President Trump. Now we need only wait for the inept Repubs to 'grow a pair' and act.

It’s good for what it is, pork and beef sandwhiches you dip in bbq sauce with really good curly q fries. If you’re expecting actual bbq you’re in for a big disappointment

That’s is the only location I go to and the food has been very good the last few years compared to years before that. I see people trashing PE putting money into walk ons, and maybe in most cases they screw businesses up but imo they def improved the quality of walk ons, granted you don’t expect it to be some authentic Louisiana cuisine and see it for what it is, really solid bar food, maybe even slightly better than really solid bar food.

They've priced them out of being a casual spot to stop in have a beer and leave. Went the other day because I wanted the cheese sticks. Ordered cheese sticks, boneless wings, and a beer. It's was $50 before tip was included a family is easily spending $100 plus without drinks.
Mozzarella Logs: $13.99 (1100 cals)
Bonless Wings (14 ct): $14.49 (1000 cals)
Bud Light (because...): $5.00 (147 cals)
Total: $33.98
Total with 10% tax: $37.38
Total Calories: 2,247
Total before tax per calorie: $0.015/cal
not only are you a liar, but also a fatass
but in all seriousness that is absurdly expensive but seems like a lot of food, as that is enough calories to feed two people pretty well for a meal
