Totally agree. My only concern in the passing game is their TE.
Guy is a walking liability. Always has been. He is terrible.

Our Offense

Where is the poster who laughed at me when I said Spencer Ware, Reuben Randle, and Russell Sheppard all could be effective at QB?

Miles has to now realize that we cannot just run over the elite teams. We have to be innovative. Our current QBs are both too poor to win the big games.

Zone read with Shep, Randle, and Ware has to be implemented for Alabama. Bama will not let us run at them. They'll bring pressure as well.
Uncommon cents and Choctaw are the worst. They'll have some stupid excuse for Miles.
Then maybe we need better judges of QB potential. I went to many of Andrew Luck's, Matthew Stafford's, and Garret Gilbert's high school games. There was no doubt how good they were. I also went to Ryan Perriloux's high school games. There was also no doubt.

Without a doubt you can find some diamonds that weren't highly rated out of high school.

Mauck
Flynn-However he was pretty high up there.

Say what you want about Perriloux's off the field antics, the talent was there. His first real start he had over 200 yards passing. Trying to get Jefferson there is like watching paint dry.

Let's take a look at the WR position.

Clayton
Bowe
Doucet
Toliver
Randle

And just like the QB position, you get the Lafells and Josh Reeds that turn out better than expected. But I see a lack of focus on the elite player at QB. We currently have no QB on the roster that was an elite HS player. The law of averages eventually catches up with you..

no the answer is lack of qb development from a qb coach and an upperclassman of a qb on roster

So Colt only had one year with Vince Young so.......

why are you getting wet over a spring game.

I just find it funny that Gilbert has no problem running the offense and putting up decent numbers. Yes it is a spring game. However, there's no excuse on the other side for Jefferson to look like garbage. People that qualify his performance "But it was just, but it was just.." Stop the execuses.
Ya Steve it's really not funny to me to watch our program spiral downward. Maybe it works with you.

It's very simple. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken $hit. Go get an elite player at the QB position. We do this at every other position on the field. Especially WR.

Lee and Jefferson probably couldn't win the flag football league at LSU. True story...

It's called a message board. LSU fans will come here to have a discussion about things they want to talk about.
Rather than responding with sarcastic crap, why don't you answer the question. The most important thing LSU needs to do is adapt to our personnel. Not make our personnel adapt to our play calling. Jordan Jefferson (nor Lee) is freaking Drew Brees. STOP GOING 5 WIDE....

Let's simplify and I really think you'll see success.
It's sad to see D-line U become the weakness the defensive side of the ball. Someone remind me how big Ego Ferguson and JC Copeland are?

No matter how well LSU does against the other teams on the schedule, losing to Bama & Fla again for the 3rd year in a row if it happens will not sit very well for a lot of LSU fans.

Ding ding ding. What really needs to happen is letting Chris Garrett get in a situation. I see two positives there. He pushes Lee/Jefferson, or he overtakes the role.

The sack stat is just as relevant as the interception stat...
It's amazing to me that a top 10 program like LSU can't get a QB. On the other hand, with a QB that struggles STOP GOING 5 WIDE. Completely scrap that formation from the playbook. I want to see the I-formation and use our running game as the catalyst. DeAngelo Peterson is a stud and having the uncertainty of him coming off the line is a huge asset.

I have loathed JL since his freshman campaign, however, he really has improved if you watch how he commands the offesne. Jefferson will continue to hold on to the ball and cost this team games.

Thoughts...
