They need to move the mid-majors to a separate division / playoff. Problem solved. Too many schools in 1-A that can’t complete and don’t belong.

The difference is the NFL has a systematic schedule, and all teams play a more balanced schedule. Until college football has balanced scheduling, the 12 best teams should be in, not the 12 teams with the most wins.

Look at how well teams with players that aren’t millionaires are doing…. Army, Indiana, SMU, Tulane, etc. That’s because the players on those teams are still coachable. Look at how mediocre the SEC is now.
