re: NIL is NOT the evil. The Transfer Portal is the Problem.

Transfer portal should only be for players who have completed their junior year period. The nil should be capped at 200,000 with them getting 1000 a month and they have to sign a form that they will receive the rest after they graduated

Should include jon gruden, and any super bowl winning coach that’s the only coaches I would hire. Period
re: The Corey R… While he was here, we had damn good recruiting, and we were known as DBU

Everyone can hate Corey Raymond all you want for your stupid pathetic unfounded reasons the facts are when for 3 years after 2019 nc players left via the transfer portal or the nfl LSU lost a lot of players to that, y’all tend to valunterally forget these things. You would rather blame a coach than to blame two things that has destroyed all these teams roster management, LSU was the team that got it worse, so when you blame a coach and say that one of the best db coaches lost his skills of coaching and recruiting, remember all these db coaches that y’all want to come to LSU, they are all within the same age. Which means they are in their early 50’s. Corey Raymond is 54, terry joseph is 52, Ron Cooper is 52, and yes some are a little younger but remember these coaches just don’t forget how to coach they have been doing it longer than you think
John chavis
Posted by burasjr123 on 1/1/24 at 1:15 pm
In 2011 John chavis had LSU ranked second in the country in every category and now he has the usfl Baltimore stallions as the second ranked defense also and many people don’t want him back. All he does is turn up top defenses

It doesn’t matter who the players are or highly ranked they are, if you don’t have the elite defensive staff in place they won’t get developed period

re: Who is the best D coordinator in lsu history?
Posted by burasjr123 on 11/7/23 at 9:18 am
Will muschamp defenses was always ranked in or near the top 3 in sec and top 15 in the country. John chavis were pretty much the same way but chavis had top ten defenses in the country if not top 15. He has had top defenses for over thirty years that he’s been in that position so for that fact I would say chavis first than muschamp and than Dave aranda. Do remember that defense in 2011 that only allowed 11.5 points per game, less than 100 yards per rushing, barely 200 yards pass per game

re: One way for Matt House to fix the defense
Posted by burasjr123 on 10/12/23 at 2:27 pm
This is all scheme and technic, if you have a defensive coordinator who’s defense was barely ranked in the 100’’s at two schools and who’s mentor was a nfl coach that allowed 7000 yards the most in nfl history with the saints, also who can’t call a play on defense and then bk hires two db coaches who can’t coach technic, well this poor defense is the exact defense that you will get.
re: Take a step back and give me your honest assessment on House

Matt house mentor is Steve spagnuola the same former saints defense coordinator that allowed 7000 yards in 2012 the most yards in nfl history
