re: 2 seed and travel to regional...

Posted by CU-onda-BIU on 5/29/10 at 4:57 pm
I'm not going to read all this shite, but can't we be a #2 seed and still host?
For me --

1. The David Tyree Catch [if not made, Giants do not win period]
2. Vinateri v. Rams
3. Big Ben to Santanio Holmes last year
3. Vinateri v. Panthers
4. Porter
5. Harrison 100 yard INT last year
6. Mike Jones stop on last play v. Titans
7. John Taylor Catch

fill in rest and rearrange

Good grief this whole thread assumes that Jamaal Brown is going somewhere. Did you people not see how Bushrod got mercilessly abused this year? He had to have given up 10 sacks. Jamaal Brown isn't going anywhere.
Jury's still out how far Saints resonate. Every man, woman, and child in the US was awed by the Miracle on Ice.

1. US Hockey
2. Red Sox
3. Saints
4. Tiger Slam
5. Michael Jordan finally winning
6. Nicklaus @ '86 Masters
7. Dan Jansen
8. Secretariat
9. Mets
10. Tiger's first Masters
ESPN hates the Saints.
ESPN hates LSU.
ESPN hates Louisiana.
ESPN hates crawfish.
ESPN hates the word Katrina.
ESPN hates Les Miles
ESPN hates Drew Brees.
ESPN hates Greg Williams.
ESPN hates Mardi Gras.
ESPN hates alligator sauce piquant.
it looks like from this thread that rather than 8 regular season wins it might be closer to 7 that is the bench mark. As for the poll, I unofficially put it at 42% yea come back for '11 and 58 % at nea.
hell maybe top 5 recruiitng classes -- has it ever happened before where coaches of such highly highly touted incoming recruiting classes up and leave? How do the scavengers react to this -- and more importantly, if you've over sold your incoming '10 class, and now suddenly an ocean of top flight talent is available, how do you market yourself? What do you tell those 3 stars that now could be replaced by 4+ stars? This will be a defining moment of Miles.
watch this bumbling idiot and you Miles supporters once again try and state your case.

I-ahh-we tried - ahh you know/where's my wife?

not exactly your best example of proof of anti-stupidity.

You are doing a disservice to LSU football.

You're a disservice to the notion that alleged intelligence resides in human brains. Take off the P&G glasses and assess objectively.

sowwy -- livin' it up on Brightside with a P&G flag in the yard. Just prefer something closer to Cartman than Kenny.
I'm sorry -- the guy is a great guy, but his in game/while the action's happenin' brain capacity efficiency rating is maybe 65% of what other top coaches' brain capacities are. The guy can recruit through the roof, but when the heat is on, the neurons seem to start misfiring, which carries over into 143% incoherent post game remarks. Examples of the lights dimming include Ole Piss end game, Jo Pa end game, U-Thug 1st year end game, AU '07 [though he got lucky] end game, and the list goes on and on.

Thoughts?
kickoff actually is at 1:11, 11 seconds, and 111,111,111,111,111 nanoseconds
This thread is ludicrous.

Best --
'03/04 BCSNC game -- first in 50 years
'09 baseball NC
'07/08 BCSNC game
2000 baseball NC

There are no others.

Worst --
Ole Piss this year
UAB in 2000
UT in '05
Barn in '06
Cap One
Barn in '04
I'm pulling for 2012 to occur 3 years early, and the BCS CG becomes a scoreless tie.

re: Still trade Reggie?

Hhmmm ... unless Reggie scores 4 TD's in the Super Bowl, if trading him plus the last pick of the upcoming draft's 1st round means you get the 5th pick of the draft meaning you get Rolando McClain -- then I'm all for it.

Nike Combat Unis

Generally perusing over the schools sites that wore the special Nike combat unis, it looks likes they over far better for us than for other schools like Va Tech [gawd those were hideous], Miami, and Fla [gawd those were awful]. I think OU wore them ag/ Tex Tech and Ohio State wore some based on throwbacks ag/ Michigan. I really likes ours, a the poll thread shows a overwhelming majority liked them as well.
Napoleon had a couple of F-16 fighters, the Battle of Waterloo might have turned out differently.

re: Les Miles public speaking ability

I agree that if the HC can communicate in the locker room and in the household with a mom and a dad over coffee and pecan pie, then it shouldn't matter. But it does matter because the HC is also the CEO of the program, and the CEO markets the program on a national scale. And when your CEO sounds like a total fricking moron that can't articulate a simple response to a question like, "How was the approach this week different than last week?" -- then it makes the program look like it is being run by an imbecile. Face it -- for some recruits, the first impression Les makes is through these public interviews, and he's already behind the 8 ball when he goes into the recruits' homes -- IF he's allowed.
