13-3 last year
Cant argue with that, who knew their defense would go to shite

When he is inducted in the Hall of Fame, those booing fans realize that he will be inducted as a Packer, right?
5 years from now their feelings will change but today it was about their team and he was enemy. I have no problem with them booing.

But, do y'all remember 2007 against Tulane
Its not 2007 and they had Matt Forte, this years Tulane doesn't have an impact player this year.
quote:
People act as though it was easy to hang 42 on Tulane
Its rather easy it seems, 3 other teams have done it this year. BYU beat them 54-3, even Southern Miss hung 40 on them this year. BYU also held them to less yardage than LSU did.

Sheppard, Lee, Jefferson, Scott, Ridley, and Lafell had good showings, and will hopefully springboard from this
Heard that more than once this season

Well I am not saying your opinion is wrong but I have seen many statements around same thing.
No one has yet to answer me if there is a direct relation to LSU offense playing well has to do with the defense's they have played and same with Bama.
I did facts over 5 games earlier and will post them. Let me grab them
Last 5 Games
LSU Scoring 25.2 PPG
LSU Defense Allowing 12.4
LSU Offense Avg: 318.80 Yards Per Game
LSU Defense Allowing: 276.80
LSU passing 225.8 Per Game last 5
LSU allowing 180.4 Passing Yards per game last 5
LSU rushing 128.2 Last 5
LSU allowing 105.4 last 5
Thats pretty much in line with the season average its not a large difference in anything.

Could LSU surge perhaps by a direct relation with the fact they played 2 of worst defenses in country?
Could Bama's sputtering be the fact they played 2 Top 15 defenses?
Does it matter that Tebow was coming off a concussion and Meyer admits to not opening the playbook and playing it close to vest?

Meanwhile, our D has only gotten better, as well as our offense. Are we playing MNC football? No. Are we playing our best football ? No.
If you look only at last 5 games they are even with the season average btw

LSU is same boat with Arkansas, Ole Miss, Bama each team has an advantage over Iowa as they have an extra game.
LSU could end up playing in 2 extra games to move up with computers and human pollsters.

It's pretty obvious Iowa is going to drop a game soon.
We have been saying that all year and they continue to win

I don't think Oregon wins out either. They should, though.
Who beats them? Stanford, Arizona, Arizona State, or Oregon State?

Funny thing is Oregon moving up really helps Boise in all of this

6th or 7th seems most reasonable if teams above them win also

re: bcs ranking prediction

Strength of Schedule will keep Iowa/Oregon ahead of LSU. Right now LSU is 45 and Iowa/Oregon are 12/11 respectively.
Neither of them play cupcakes either as they both have ranked teams left on their schedule. Iowa only having 3 more games this season could help LSU as LSU if they make it to SECCG will have played 2 more games than Iowa to impress the computers.
I still think Oregon SOS will keep them ahead of LSU in computers though and it would be a close call. This could end up being a year where computers end up deciding who plays for NC.

So you are comparing a first game of the year with new OL and a Green QB going across the country to Bama playing a de facto home game in ATL against an over rated Virginia Tech team
Georgia = Bama?????
Overrated means ranked team compared to a 3-5 team????
quote:
LSU's offense has continued to improve the last few weeks outside of the UF game, and that largely had to do with overly conservative playcalling.
Not really, LSU is avg 25.2 PPG last 5 weeks, if by improved you only mean past 2 games then I agree.
quote:
Furthermore, our defense had trouble getting teams off the field early on if you look at our opp 3rd down conversion rate.
Defense 12.4 PPG last 5 games, still 276 YPG which is still in line with their season average.
quote:
Bama's is regressing, while LSU's is improving. Stats like total yardage are overrated, especially when your Field position is usually much better than most teams.
While playing 2 top 20 defenses while LSU has played 2 of worst in country.

I'd like to know how LSU's offense and defense rank the last five games. I bet they are both very good, and the defense may be #1 in some catagories.

Hopefully losing to ULM and UAB will be prizes Saban gets to keep all to himself.
Why is this even relevant when 1 of those happened to LSU. Saban wasn't on the field to tell Booty to draw up a play from high school.

Now only would they lose it would be bad... If they play a legit defense they woul be shut down hard core
Penn State ranked #3
Wiscosin ranked #21
Arkansas State ranked #44
Michigan State ranked #49
Arizona ranked #26

So 2 bad defense trump the 6 LSU has faced????
Really is that your logic?
LSU:
105: Washington
98: Tulane
97: ULL
70: Auburn
68: Georgia
56: Mississippi State
2: Florida
Bama:
118: FIU
111: North Texas
95: Arkansas
69: Kentucky
29: Virginia Tech
23: Ole Miss
13: Tennesse
16: South Carolina
Then don't forget Bama beat there 2 worst team by a combined 93-21.
LSU beat there 2 worst teams by a combined 73-23
