re: Anyone here ever quit drinking?

Yes. Did not get sick.
Drank about a case a week for 20 years.
Slowly decreased in my 40s to about 12 a week(if not going out).

Then decided to stop for heath reasons.

Crystal palace and Chris Richards win confederations league. (Richards did not play due to injury. But was on the bench)
There are some great takes in this thread.
Thank you for bumping.

Kane is probably on top.

Yes you have Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia (yes I had to look up how to spell this). And Doué at PSG.
But can they drop as deep as Kane does and play others on goal.

Haaland is EPL holder boot but Kane has a better all around game. As mentioned with his ability to drop deep.

I honestly did not see him being as good as he is now.

I figured he would just be a big body to send into the mixer for a stab at goal.

But his game is more than that.

Fun and impressive to watch.

Blast watch Bayern in Champions League this year.

Looking forward to watching him at WC.

People are up in arms over Reyna’s inclusion

I’m pumped he is in.
He breaks an attitude that the USMNT badly need.

Interesting fact I stumbled upon today.
Gio Reyna hasn't played a full 90-minute club league game in four years.

Are you referring to Marc-André ter Stegen of Barcelona?
Injuries and playing time.
He was loaned out to Girona this year and only played 2 games.
1st part with teammates. Meh.

2nd part with fan supplied item. Well done!

Germany at 2026 World Cup

Neuer Going to World Cup

Julian Nagelsmann will take Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer to World Cup per report

Hopefully it is the Real Madrid version and not the PSG first leg version.

Hoffenheims Baumann at 35 was expected to start.

Neuer has more experience and plays with more German national teammates.

Is he starting or is he a locker room presence?
Was supper excited when we were announced as host in 2018.

Excitement has gone down ever since.

Was hoping to go. Thinking surely USMNT will play in each section of USA.
West coast. East coast. And central.
But more.
F FIFA.

Weak player pool physically and mentally.

Probably worse keeper for USA ever in a World Cup.

On the plus side. Current administration doing everything in their power for USMNT to finally have a majority American crowd.
Can’t remember that ever happening in the USA.

Just hopping out players flip a switch and get stuck in.

Hoping for at least one good memory like Jermaine Jones vs Portugal.

The media sucks at promoting this.
It’s all negative which is not helping.
Typical media.
Everything is gloom and doom.

Didn’t we all see this coming.
Tyler Adams and Bournemouth with a win to continue unbeaten run and stay in contention for European football next year.

Micah Richards cleared up the first one during the halftime show that the Bayern handball just prior was why PSG got the free kick and why the subsequent PSG handball wasn't a card/FK

The fact that PSG player s did not react calling for a hand ball makes it clear that it was not a hand ball by Laimer.

Portuguese Mendes could beat all 1st leg and needs 4 Portuguese officials to help in 2nd leg.

Bayern should have been a man up for most of game and would have easily won.

This is why MLS tried pulling completely out of the Cup.
MLS product is about profit over talent.
Takes Real Sociedad (who fired their original coach earlier in season while hovering around regulation). And has lead them to the Copa del Rey and current 8th place in La Liga
