If his defense gives up a point put him on the hot seat. If we are trailing in a game get a shortlist of replacements. If he loses a game fire him and ban him and his kids from ever entering the state of Louisiana.

Obviously its Cowboy Mouth and Bag of Donuts
Because academics isn’t sports?

Schools with bad football teams do at times have better academic programs. Of course I want the football team to win, but that’s the ADs job. The president needs his hand in it but 90% of his job needs to be making sure that the 2 degrees I got from LSU are worth the paper they are printed on.

So we need someone equal to or better than the greatest coach of all time. Who is on your shortlist?

While you're at it, I think my Yankees need a team full of people at least as good Othani and the Saints need someone at least as good as Tom Brady in his prime.

This cannot possibly be your standard or you will live in misery.

re: Playoffs out of reach?

If we run the table we are still in the playoffs. The only silver lining in this season is that outside of Ohio State (cause of their soft schedule) there really is no runaway team. Any major conference team with 2 loses will be largely in the conversation and get in.

For me, that still wouldn’t excuse BK if he goes out and squeaks out wins. Now, if he can get the team looking like a powerhouse somehow and he can say “look how we went from maxing out at 21 points per game and the last 5 we averaged 38, and we went from losing the time of possession battle to winning” or some other tangible evidence that would show me that he can take a team that seemed lost and bring them together and that would win me over. I’m the eternal optimist and I hope he can do it, every season so far (except this one) his teams have gotten better throughout the season. That said, my logical brain tells me this team is lost.
Diego Pavia runs out of eligibility but then petitions the NCAA because he thinks a technicality that he fell into isn't fair.

Why not run the ball 3 times in a row and ... punt ?

Do you know how crazy the fan base would be if we were both unsuccessful AND didn't have a sexy offense that at least had the threat of chunk plays?
As a diehard yankee fan....

....we're cooked. I can absolutely see us winning the next 1 or 2 but if we do it is a tall hill to climb to win game 5 when they have everybody available that has made us look like a JV team so far.
Not on Yom Kippur its not. Granted, no food at all is kosher on Yom Kippur.

ETA: Today is Yom Kippur.
I fully hated the rule changes at first, but I'm coming around to them. I really like the pitch clock. There was nothing worse than watching a pitcher or batter adjust his balls for 45 seconds between each pitch.

The limiting pitching changes I think is good for TV but not good for the game, I miss the chess match.

The ghost runner, I hate it in the game but I like it in terms of not letting one game affect another game. A 16 inning game could screw up a team for a week and literally frick someone's career because they had to call some pitcher up from the minors to replace the used arms.

I fricking hate that they banned the shift. Yes I hated watching it but I hate when sports legislate against intelligence. Just cause it's boring doesn't mean that its not good strategy. Tell every hitter to bunt it through the opening 3 times and they'll never get shifted on again.

Bigger bases, eh, not really noticeable from a fan standpoint.

Pickoff limit, I fricking love this. Watching a guy throw over to first 8 times between every pitch was infuriating. I know I contradict myself a bit when saying you're legislating against intelligence but then not allowing unlimited pickoffs, but shite that was unwatchable.
When I was growing up from middle school and high school my dad had season tickets for us to see the Jets. In hindsight, watching a 2-10 team play in the snow and getting the shite kicked out of them wasn't always the most fun experience.

ETA: We had to take the train that left 3 hours before the game to make sure we got there by kickoff. If we took the train that left 2 hours before the game we'd miss most of the first quarter. Then we wouldn't get home until 3 hours after the game. What a miserable fricking experience that we did to ourselves.
Give me Kelly. Miles won a natty because every single crazy arse thing that could happen in a college football season did happen.

Kelly has had a national championship offense in 2023 with a historically bad defense and a national championship defense in 2025 with a below average offense. If he can put it together in the same season then we're going to be talking about one of the greatest teams ever. I don't know that it will happen or if it can, but its not out of the realm of possibility.
I mean, he's fricked either way. Either he takes the blame and we all shite on him for saying he should've done better, or he doesn't take the blame and we shite on him for being clueless and out of touch with his own responsibilities and he's throwing his players under the bus.

Players win, coaches lose.

New York Tigers (Legends bar)

Got a buddy going to Legends this weekend. He wants to know what time he should get there for the start of the festivities and also how early to try and get a table.
Be pissed at the TV networks and the conferences to create these super conferences that are too damn big just to make some money.

But also, we will still play everyone else every other year. It's not like we will be waiting 10 years to renew a rivalry.

Oh, well, I was on the edge and super stressed. But since you said it ... well, I think I'm good here. I think that's all I needed. You guys good?

Tell BK to have the team take the week off, we're good here guys.
