Pretty sure that's their pronunciation of their own country. When I was there in 2022 that's how they said they call themselves.

I believe I’m the 17th post in this thread, about 30 min after the game ended in a run rule. Had we lost, this would’ve been 15 pages long right now all about fire Beth.
I’m not taking a stance on Beth’s job, I’m just pointing out that losing generates a shite ton more buzz than winning. If we win it’s “who cares, it’s softball” but if we lose “the standard for LSU is to win at every sport!” It’s an interesting view from a psychology standpoint.

It was probably a 0.05 deduction, they likely took off another .05 somewhere else.

Mid-late 2000s there would be a few games on nationally, and maybe 1 or 2 games a week (not necessarily LSU games) on regional sports channels.
I remember talking to Lynn Rollins about a couple games that were gonna be on CST with LSU vs Arkansas. He said they had to do 1 game with LSU graphics/music/etc. and 1 game with Arkansas stuff.
When SECNetwork launched, we finally got every game.
Remember the Geaux Zone? It was like $8 a month and you basically got to watch the in house scoreboard feed with the radio call. It was just home games, unless we happened to be playing someone who used the same web server company as LSU.

Sir, this is LSU. We either go undefeated to win the natty with every game in a run-rule, or every coach deserves to be fired and every starter deserves to be benched because clearly their backup is better.

Announcers for games on SECN+ and ESPN Select are picked by the home team. That’s why we always get Lynn and Ben/Ronnie
