re: So, if Florida hangs 70 and we lose by 20+ what happens next week?
Posted by tigerberger on 10/12/20 at 7:11 am
Everyone seems to be overlooking this. This team has been horrible on 3rd down and in the red zone. If I’m not mistaken, theses are Linehan’s responsibilities. And for that matter, why was Tory Carter even on the field in that situation with all the receiving options available to our coaches?
re: Why give Cam a free pass on this?

quote:
He is a great coach in all other aspects but knows nothing about how a modern day college or NFL offense works
this is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard in a place where stupid is the norm.

But I think most logical people saw that QB wasn't the only reason we got thumped, and a change wouldn't have made THAT significant of a change.
We'll never know will we because he didn't even see fit to give Lee a chance

From what you stated in your OP and the hurt tone of your responses after the flaming I conclude that you must be a woman.

Don't think either team will score >20.
17 - 13 toss up.

Sorry to hear you got hurt and I agree with everything you said about verbally abusing our players. Can't agree about the coaches though.
re: Les Miles is a good coach

They should have lost due to poor coaching; they won due to pure talent.
re: JJ 2009 vs Flynn 2007 - who do you pick?
Posted by tigerberger on 11/24/09 at 9:14 am
"INTANGIBLES" is the key word in this comparison. JJ to this point has not demonstrated that he has them. It remains to be seen if he can develop what it takes to be a champion; at this point its Flynn by a land slide.

You sound quite envious
re: SEC Refs

Great post and very well said. I agree, both teams performed too well to have their great play overshadowed by disgustingly bad officiating.
Congrats to both teams for a game well played and good luck to you guys for the remainder of the season.

re: Times Picayune Article: Miles says no QB controversy

"Miles will not think about changing QBs or play Lee for a series or two unless JJ is injured. We saw this last year. Lee may see some mop up duty against Tulane and LaTech, but that's about it.
Right or wrong, that is Miles."
And this is why LSU will be lucky to win 2 out of the 4 remaining SEC games.

re: To all you rainbow bright LSU fans

This is a fact. At least last years team scored a lot of points on everybody. This team has trouble scoring any points on anybody.
re: Jordan Jefferson is clearly the best QB on the roster now
Posted by tigerberger on 10/11/09 at 9:01 pm
Is this guy related to JJ?
re: how can everyone blame the Q B?
Posted by tigerberger on 10/11/09 at 6:43 pm
Tomm you finally said something that makes sense and I agree that our QB "is hardly Div 1-A caliber and "the O-line is the reason we can't run the ball"
re: Les wont play Jarrett Lee

"Guy, try watching LSU games instead of just posting CRAP and acting like you know about college football. If you think Lee is close to as good as Jefferson, stay away from being a talent evaluator. You are a MORON"
You my friend appear to be the moron if you think that JL should not be given a shot. This year as opposed to last, I believe we can overcome int's and even pick 6's, we cannot overcome not scoring.

re: AP: LSU drops to #10

Can't argue with this ranking. Probably never deserved to be ranked higher than 10 or 12 from the get go.
re: What do you make of this quote from JJ?
Posted by tigerberger on 10/4/09 at 9:29 am
Y'all can spin that quote anyway you want, but a quaterback at any level of competition that is truly a team leader wants the ball in his hands in a win or loose situation. An I don't mean just handing it off.
Don't mean to knock JJ because I think he played a good game and has shown continuous improvement from game to game, but that statement has me concerned.
Bottom line is the team is 5 - 0 with JJ at quaterback this season and I hope the trend continues.

re: Doubting "fans" should apologize to our team

I agree, this is a good team that should have been up by at least 20 points at half time if they had a good coach. Can anyone dispute that?
re: The Problem with Jefferson
Posted by tigerberger on 9/20/09 at 2:37 pm
I have never been a fan of platooning QB's, but at this point it wouldn't be a bad idea to let JL share time with JJ and let's see if that might open up the offense a bit. Against the better teams we are F'ed with JJ unless he develops the ability to go down field in the next couple of weeks. Despite his propensity for throwing interceptions, JL has proven he can go deep with some accuracy.
