re: Just three active head coaches in the FBS with national titles on their resumé

Saban created the Bama juggernaut and in that timespan rest of the coaches with NCs either retired or got fired - Miles, Chiz, Urban, O, Jimbo., Stoops
Miles could have easily created a juggernaut of his own if he had been less hard headed about running his antiquated offense.

It was always known she would make a ton more $$ through endorsements. WNBA salary is just peanuts for her.
Just a decade ago such a mega contract for a WNBA/ wbb star was pretty much unthinkable. College WBB has truly arrived and WNBA should be thanking the schools for the eyeballs they are gett...
most of NPR isn’t news. Shows like Radiolab, Way with Words, and Wait, Wait… are pretty well done and worth the listen.
Does NPR have anything to do with these shows except that they are aired on the local station affiliated to NPR? They are either produced independently or by the ...

re: How much do analysts for LSU make a year as compared to position coaches?
Posted by BayouTigers4Life on 2/12/24 at 8:24 am
I can say that we don't need a roster full of analysts! Every SEC team now has a large group of analysts
I remember hearing one of the teams has an 'analyst' just to keep track of the clock and the timeouts and feed that info to the coaches.
Les could have really used one such gu...
It was called Tiger Lair or something like that? It was the premier message board in the early 2000's. It was a lot like this board, then they decided to go to a monthly fee model for more "insider" content. So a bunch of us migrated over to this board.
Not sure why this is getting downvoted.

re: The name of the game with these coaching hires definitely seems to be "recruiting"

The problem with defense has been a lack of talent AND bad coaching/schemes
At least let's fix the talent issue with these hires and if they turn out to be good coaches then we are golden....

The recruiting landscape and the game as a whole has completely changed. There's a thread on the RB about the 5/5 saga. There was so much more suspense and drama on NSD..you could watch the NSD show on ESPNU all day long back then...
