good gosh, did no one actually see the comparison was from HIGH SCHOOL and no reflection on TODAY OR COLLEGE.

man i think some on here just like to argue just to argue.

Dude may have been better in high school for all most know, i doubt many if any on here actually saw both of them play in HIGH SCHOOL.

Clowney to LSU would be the NSD Shocker.

actually not because he is not signing on NSD but i know what you mean.
quote:

But Rivals always bumps at least one or two BAMMER players up and usually bumps one or two Auburn players down... they have done that for years...

sorta like they bumped up Coleman last year and then the Denson kid out of now where this year...come on man the theory for the bias really gets old especially when there are examples of stupid ratings on all the big schools in the SEC not to mention AU beat UA in the rankings last year.
some guys get it done despite the QB....Demaryius Thomas did it last year with a QB who was actually a RB. that is a great definition of a playmaker, someone who gets it done despite the odds against them.

maybe the FL lit a fire under TT and he blows up the rest of the year who knows. you cant always blame the QB for a WR low production at somepoint a player has to make the best out of the plays he is given and make something happen on his own.
quote:

ridley is the most productive running back in the sec, but do you think he is the best?

actually i think he is easily top 5 in the SEC without a doubt. teams load the box and he still gets his because they know LSU cant throw it.
quote:

yea if they didn't watch the uf game im sure they would think you like you do or if they are a straight up arse clown

god gosh, so now 1 game makes you a star??? did YOU watch the game...TT is the only one that even had remotely good stats...RR had 1 catch and shep had 3 for 11 yds.

again if you would READ i am not dogging TT and even said he is a very good WR...TT has 289 yds on the season and 4 TD...111 of those and 2 TD came in 1 game. consistency is the key
quote:

there are tons of reasons why WR's stats aren't as good as others and those reasons don't make the WR any less talented.

agreed but Talent is not always the end all be all. true play-makers make plays regardless of the circumstances. the most talent in the world is not a guarantee the results will be there. Again i think TT is a very good receiver but from an outsider looking in you can see how someone would get an assumption like this. I am not arguing if they are good WR or not just that statistically you can see how someone would make that point.
quote:

football is more than stats.

so a WR that has not done much on the field can actually be one of the best even though he doesnt have any stats to support it ala Jewlio? surely you jest
there is no LSU WR in the top 15 of any SEC receiving statistic. I can see where he can say that.
just to play the other side, how can you really say he is WRONG at this point (note i do not really agree with him but other then *'s how can you prove him wrong yet)

Shep has tons of talent but talent doesn't always equate to the field especially when his previous talent was not really used at the WR position. TT is a beast i agree with but Randle has not had the opportunity as well so how can you say 100% they are game changers when they dont have any chances to really change games. I am not just making this comment for LSU alone there are examples of tons of talent in the nation that dont live up to their rivals rankings (not saying these guys wont)

flame away i guess.
man that might be one of the best ones i have seen in a while.

side note: you know that dude was THAT bama fan.

starts dont ALWAYS matter

I keep reading where people bring up stars for certain commits and for some it seems to be the end all. In addition I always see where people list players that had low stars to prove against that like Ryans or Arenas just to name a few. here is a list from 2002 till 2008 showing how many misses there actually are so please stop talking about how an 18 year old kid is going to be a stud because he is a 4 or 5*. this is rivals btw and i only did bama because i didnt want to go through all the other teams

all do to injury or just not that good of a player

Kyle Tatum
David Scott
Jermey Clark
Matt Caddell - was decent but never really lived up to the talent
Chris Felder
Nikita Stover
Chris Turner
Lorenzo Washington - again decent but not a ton of actual production
Brandon Fanny
Mike Ford
Chris Keys - could have but man he had issues
Earl Alexander
Terry Grant - minus his freshman year
Mike McCoy
Taylor Pharr
David Ross
Alex Stadler
Marcus Udell
Brandon Gibson - still has a chance
Demetris Goode
Alfred McCullough
Alex Watkins
John Michael Boswell
Glen Harbin
Star
Chris Jordan - still has a chance but doubful
Alonzo Lawrence - about as smart as a bag of rocks it seems
Tyler Love - still has a chance

that is alot of wasteful talent for whatever the reasons can be. Obviously not all 4 or 5* guys pan out.

just interesting when you go back and look at actually how many really didnt do much.

re: Nashville Fan Base

just depends on where in Nashville you are. The more south you get the more Auburn fans their are but as a whole I would say it is mostly

1. UT
2. BAMA
3. AU
4. FL/Vandy (yes i said Vandy)

I have lived here since 2000 and i see bama fans all over Nashville. just my guess from the people i know and see though. Either way its a great city to live in!

worst call ever??

Posted by show me your TDs on 6/22/10 at 1:12 pm
had a buddy just send this to me laughing about it....I must agree this might be the worst call i have ever seen

AU vs Vandy 2001
1. Javi was never a wr, he was on D the entire time just was not considered to be very good there.

Rashad Johnson from RB to S was a very good move. Obviously not the best in history but a good move.

M.Johnson from LT to LG was also a great move.

my question is: is the position change from HS to college or while in college?

Anyone know Ivory's academic status?

it is reported he has a 27 ACT and a 3.5 gpa so good to go in that front.
quote:

So, you're saying all the ratings on the Bama players are wrong too?

So, his 4.5 is really a 4.6? I guess this means the 4.6 guys are really 4.7 guys?

See what I'm saying?

first question ABSOLUTLY.

i am not saying a 4.5 is a 4.6 ect, what i am saying is LB's running 4.5 or better is SUPER rare.

The Rbs and Wr's running 4.4s and better are just as rare if not more rare is all.

bottom line is those 6'7 245lb kids that list a 4.5 or 4.4 is total crap. Again if you want to see how rare just look up the past few NFL combine stats and see how many kids actually run that fast at any position. And add to that those kids are then TRAINING to run for the combine.
quote:

You don't have a clue what you're talking about dumbass. He runs a 4.5 forty.

I will wager any amount of money he does NOT run a 4.5

it is still funny to me how many people actually believe the rivals or scout 40times (for any team)

please review the NFL combine LB and DL numbers and let me know how many LB's actually run a 4.5 or faster.

the kid may be great who knows but dont get all caught up in what his *40 time is because it is not accurate.

(and yes this topic is germans)
quote:

search "rock" dumbass

i did queer bait and it blocked the image, thanks for you important info on the subject though.
I saw it on here last night but I guess it got removed...thanks in advance

i got a UT buddy that didnt get to see it lol
