Dang it. I remember him!

We just returned from Lisbon. The Peña Palace was closed due to the threat of grass fires. Be sure to check before heading that way.
I blame the practice of awarding participation trophies as the beginning of a lot of the current problems.
Took the kids to Wet and Wild several years ago. There was a lady shaving her legs in the wave pool. We left and never went back.

re: Biggest Play of the Game?

Lacy made a catch and got hammered but held on to the ball. I think it gave us 3rd and manageable. It wasn’t that critical of a play but I thought it showed this is a different team.
Didn’t see the game. Is Rick’s getting any significant playing time? I figured he would do well at Alabama.
I sincerely do not understand why people think the oil industry should be denied as much profit margin as they can achieve. What other industry/service is asked to keep their profits in a similar range?

Go see the staircase at Loretta Chapel in Sante Fe.
What do you think the price oil(gasoline) would be today if Trump had been reelected? At the beginning of the pandemic oil prices collapsed and drilling stopped. Demand collapsed. As things opened back up the supply was not there due to the high decline rates of "shale" wells. At the same time, investors in shale wells saw that their ROI was not what they were expecting and investment money was slowing down.

Now the current administration has done everything they can to discourage oil and gas exploration. They have created a toxic attitude in the oil and gas industry. But even with Trump in office I think we are still looking at oil prices in the $80-100 range. I don't care how many leases are available to drill on if you can't find people to work on the drilling rigs.

It is the perfect storm.

We are going up in July. If you want to go fishing I would get on it pretty quick. Guides are booking up. Also the highway into Denali is closed at some point. Not sure how far into the park it’s closed.
The first thing an oil company does is secure a lease on land which gives them the option to drill. Companies typically lease more land than they expect to be productive. As they drill wells and the wells are nonproductive it condemns the land and no additional wells will be drilled. After a period of time the leases expire and are no longer valid. Another company can lease the land or more likely it remains unleased. The price of oil determines whether or not an area is economical. So areas that were once condemned can become potentially productive with an increase in oil price. Oil companies must be confident in the oil price several years in the future before they will invest in long term projects. That confidence does not exist right now.
Nothing wrong. Just my least favorite. We drove through the park on our way to Grand Canyon.
Favorite: Glacier/Yosemite

Least favorite: Petrified Forest

Under the radar: Mesa Verde.

Headed to Lake Clark, Denali, Katmai and Kenai this summer so it’s very possible my Favorite could change.

I couldn’t agree more.

The college football I grew up with is over. And I doubt that the new college football will appeal to me.

I do see the transfer portal becoming more of a recruiting source than high school.

A dealership in LA will pay him. My point is he is under contract. And that keeps him in GB. Can you imagine the chaos in the NFL if players were signed to 1 year contracts.

But the commercials do not keep Rogers in Green Bay. He can get endorsements in any city.

And there in lies the problem.

If there is a “disconnect “ between NIL and schools I don’t see where rules come into play. There are no NCAA rules applicable to businesses/boosters.

NIL and scholarship limits

What keeps a team from using NIL money for walk on players and not counting against the scholarship limit. The scholarship is worth way less than what a high profile recruit can make through NIL.
