I've worked out all "outright" and "2 team tie" scenarios for a winner. All other ties I just identified by the number of teams in the tie

Probability of winning the West:
Alabama: 58.1%
Auburn: 16.1%
LSU: 12.1%
3 Way Tie: 9.2%
Miss St: 2.0%
4 Way Tie: 1.4%
Texas A&M: 0.9%
5 Way Tie: 0.3%
Arkansas: 0.0%
Ole Miss: 0.0%

How the outcome of each SEC west game will individually affect LSU's probability of winning:
A&M beating Auburn: 2%
Ole Miss vs Kentucky has no effect
LSU beating Alabama: 12%

Miss St beating Alabama: 4%
Georgia beating Auburn: 3%
LSU beating Arkansas: 8%

LSU beating Tennessee: 8%
Arkansas beating Miss St: 2%
Ole Miss beating A&M: 1%

Ole Miss beating Miss St: 2%
Mizzou vs Arkansas has no effect
Auburn beating Alabama: 1%
LSU beating A&M: 9%

re: LSU Alabama Tickets

LSU grad and fan here who holds bama season tickets in SS-7 for the purpose of guaranteed tickets every other year and intentional price gouging of bama fans.
One would hope the prospective fiancé wouldn't allow you to own or wear bama gear.
A jewelry store in Birmingham is doing a drawing for a $10000 ring, 2 tickets to the LSU-Bama game and a jumbotron proposal. Doesn't say you have to be a bammer to enter ...

If you know your account number (mine is my old "89" student ID number), try a PIN of 1111. Got one email with a cryptic looking password, and another saying 1111 will work. Both have worked for me.

re: LSU's Tiger Stadium: Crazy Ideas

Double/Triple the size of NEZ scoreboard, expand east and west upper decks to wrap to the new scoreboard. There is room to get 2-3 more sections on both upper decks without interfering with N Stadium Dr.

Also, renovate old dorm facilities to hotel suites. Surely the 14-16 nights a year would allow for a break even. Could charge $1000/room/weekend and people would pay it. Make it an extension to Lod Cook's existing operation.

Stubhub mass email

Hi StubHub Seller,

We’ve learned the LSU Tigers at Florida Gators Football game originally scheduled for October 8 in Gainesville will now be played on November 19 at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

LSU was originally scheduled to play the South Alabama Jaguars on November 19. As a result of the change, the Jaguars will no longer be playing, and the Florida Gators will take their place.

If you already sold tickets for November 19 in Baton Rouge: Tickets with the original opponent (South Alabama Jaguars) printed on them will be honored when the Gators play the Tigers. If you already sold tickets for this event, your sale will stand.
If you had tickets listed for November 19 in Baton Rouge: All listings for this event have been removed from the site to give sellers an opportunity to adjust their prices to reflect the new matchup. If you still wish to sell for this event, please return to the site to relist your tickets. The event will be re-activated on StubHub at approximately 7:00 PM Eastern today.
If you listed or sold tickets for October 8 in Gainesville: Tickets for the original LSU Tigers at Florida Gators matchup in Gainesville won’t be valid. Accordingly, all StubHub sales for this game will be cancelled and all listings have been removed from the site. If you were already paid, we’ll process a charge to your account to recoup the amount you received. Please contact your original point of purchase for refund information.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. Thanks for using StubHub.

Named Home Team

Posted by geaux08 on 10/13/16 at 4:56 pm
Is FL the official home team? What's the recruiting situation?

If we're screwed they better be too nexterm year.
Which buyout? there's 2 teams to buyout and possibly a TV contract to buy out. But the SEC can pimp out the Iron Bowl as a replacement.
Would the conference make A&M move the game from Thursday to Saturday? Joe A has already said that the Saturday-Thursday turnaround was one of the issues with Nov 19.

Also, would it be heresy to offer Presbyterian @ S Alabama a spot on the SEC network as a sign of gratitude?
Charlotte ... SEC network is already there ... Air hub for American ... significantly less bammers

Tiger Band Gameday Schedule

Posted by geaux08 on 9/7/12 at 7:54 pm
LSU's gameday email has the band going down the the hill at 4:10 tomorrow. Anyone know their practice schedule? Stepoff? PMAC?

re: Do we ever rename Tiger Stadium?

I think N Stadium Dr has a future as Les Miles Lane
Notre Dame, OU, and USCw are all pretty bad

Award for best non-LSU goes to Georgia Tech.
Alabama 6
Auburn 7

They killed the scoreboards pretty quick last night. Did anyone manage to take shot of the final score?

From the LSU Greater Birmingham Alumni Chapter's Facebook page:

"On Friday, Nov. 4th starting at 5 PM, Cajun Steamer is hosting an LSU-Alabama Pep Rally (mostly LSU) at the Patton Creek location in Hoover. The party will extend outside into the parking lot and include live music and happy hour specials. There will be lots of visiting Tiger fans in town for the game on Nov. 5th."

Patton Creek is accross the street from the Galaria in Hoover.

The night life in B-ham is pretty bland, but what little we have is at 5 Points South, which is 20th St S at 11th Ave S. This is mostly UAB people, but there were plenty of LSU folks last year on the Friday before the game.

Closer to the game, aparently the Dixie in Tuscaloosa is the designated LSU bar:

"Fred’s in Tigerland, Bogie’s, and The Dixie (formerly The Jupiter) team up to bring you the “Tigers Takeover Tuscaloosa”. The Dixie is bravely welcoming the LSU faithful to the Biggest Weekend of the College Football Season!!
