Did no one else catch the part when they first got to the school and the kid was handing out flyers and saying "Save Ferris"? Subtle, but hilarious.
Can. Not. Wait. :nana:
I agree with about half the list.
I strongly disagree with No Country, 2001, Amadeus and Million Dollar Baby. But I know a lot of people despise that one (MDB), so I could be in the minority.

I like it. We need someone off the bench who plays under the basket for rebounds, even if he is limited offensively. And he'd come at a great price.

Because the ball can no longer be fielded with "ordinary effort." Similar to if the ball becomes trapped under the outfield fence.
At least, I think this is the reasoning for it.

Bron's rubbing off on Wade already.
Maybe it's just me but I sort of assumed Belinelli could play some point. He's completely different from a Paul/Collison type because he seems to play shoot-first. Granted I haven't seen him play a ton, but he has decent ball handling ability and is a good fast break guard from what I can tell. I could envision a platoon where he and Thornton split the backup PG minutes, with Pondexter getting some reserve work at both 2 and 3.

I'd put Hill at SF and slide Havlicek to the 2

Whichever one it was (either the first or second episode), when Gus was at that place going on about racism...shite was hilarious.
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but they pulled part of that joke on USA (at least on the re-air). I watched it online first, then caught it on TV and was like wtf?
Spoilers (if you haven't seen that episode)
In the online version, when Gus asks which water fountain he's allowed to use, the martial arts guy responds "That one."
When I saw it on USA later they just cut the scene after Gus asks which fountain he can use.
F-ing censorship
quote:Yeah, I mean it's pretty obvious their 80s/early 90s stuff > their 00s stuff. But it's still good music. Differently stylistically, but good. shite, St. Anger and Death Magnetic are better than anything Nickelback has ever done. Band of the decade :yack:
I think it’s funny that the backlash against Metallica really picked up steam with St. Anger, which is an album that sounds closer to Kill Em All than anything they have ever done. Of course their recent stuff isn’t as good, they are no longer 25. Rock n roll, particularly punk and heavy metal, is a young man’s medium. I think their late period stuff is good if graded on the Rolling Stones curve.

re: Is this trade for Melo realistic?

I would think the ownership transition would need to be finalized in order to for the team to go back over the tax threshold.
From a value standpoint, I'd hate to give up all our assets (youth/expirings) but if it means locking up Melo and (presumably) Paul long-term then that may be what we're looking at realistically. Scott's no longer here to clash w/ JR and Birdman would be a nice athletic big off the bench. But we'd have no backup point.
Paul/filler
JR/QPon
Melo/Posey/QPon
West/Brackins
Okafor/Birdman
