Rasco was the most impressive to me. That guy is a hoss.

Overall, the DL beat the OL.

Compared his running to that of Cam Newton.

He's used to saying dumb things on the radio, so this is just one of many.

Ellis sucks

You're not going to get a DT in free agency as good as Ellis for a reasonable price, and you certainly won't find one in the draft as a rookie.
It would help if Graham and Sproles didn't always have to chip block pass rushers bc Payton doesn't trust Strief and Bushrod.

IMO that is the only reason Gronk had better numbers than Graham. New England has better offensive tackles that don't need chip help.

Haley too. I personally think the job he's done the last two years is every bit as impressive as Cooper.

He was a great talent evaluator and a great developer of talent. I don't know about recruiting.

Hopefully it was more chavis and cooper.

Yeah, I'm more focused on the talent evaluation at this point, which is a huge key. But guys like Peterson, Claiborne, and Mathieu are simply awesome athletes, so I'm not going to act like it took some incredible coach to have them playing well.

He really didn't bring in a lot of "highly rated" prospects. Jalen Collins and David Jenkins are supposed to be bigtime players, so if that's true, talent evaluation will be what we may miss.

It seems a lot of people are pretty high on T. Prevot out of Houston . . . is there a chance we take both he and Williams as WDE's and Beckwith as a SDE (3 DE's)?

Yes, if Mingo and Monty both go pro after this year (very good chance), we are down to only 4 returning DEs. So this is the biggest need on the roster in terms of numbers, and LSU should sign 3.

Texas may be willing to take a 2nd QB and JT Barrett might jump at that opportunity.
As of right now I am not too impressed with the QB prospects we are going after. Was hoping we could get a truly elite player.

If there are any early leaders at this point for you JT, who would they be? "Ohio St., LSU, and Texas Tech."

been winning because their defense was playing at an elite level

Will that continue with Melo out there though? He isn't exactly known for his defense. (nor is JR Smith or Baron Davis) :dunno: Guys like Jefferies and Fields were playing good defense.

Wilson is a definite major BCS level OT

Not sure, but maybe the question is whether he is a tackle or guard. He's listed at 6'5", and oftentimes prospects are listed taller than they really are. If he isn't 6'5", then he may not be a tackle. :dunno:

Minter was actually playing very well by the end of the season, so I disagree with you.

Good to see that LSU is recruiting some of the top national prospects at OT. :geauxtigers:

Yes most likley. Hopefully one elite guy and then a mid tier guy like devante kincade.

I'm not sure that LSU will want to add another project, which is what mid tier guys usually are. That's what they've kind of done the last two years. :dunno:

1. Georgia: 11-1 potential in my opinion for this team. Murray should have a great year as a 3rd year starter throwing to King, Brown, Malcolm Mitchell along with a solid running game.

You forgot to mention OL, which is a huge question mark as it always seems to be. They were average last year, and that was with a possible first round pick in Glenn and a center who started forever. The rest of their OL basically was dumptrucked by LSU in the SECCG.

They are pretty stacked on the rest of the roster though, I will admit that. But unless they fix the OL, I actually would not be shocked if Tennessee wins this division. I just don't know who SCAR has at WR to replace Jeffrey.
Rebuilding team? You had two of the best speed WRs in the country, and 4-5 seniors on defense who had basically started for four years.

For only the 15 millionth time, this isn't fantasy football, you don't just take a top 10-12 QB and push him aside with out it causing disention on the team. YOUR view of Schaub being a "system" QB and not a leader or as someone that folds in the 4th Q is not shared by most football people, including players on the Texans.

Yeah, I'm sure signing Peyton Manning would bring tons of dissension. What an unpopular, controversial guy!

Actually, I would doubt that I'm the only one that thinks he's a system QB.

It also doesn't mean the Texans can't better and changing QBs isnt the only way for them to get better.

You're right, finding someone better than Kareem Jackson certainly would help too.

There are too many questions about Manning to take the risk given that the Texans have a pro bowl level QB, a great D and an offense that is run oriented.

If Manning were to wait until later in the offseason to sign, and then it was determined that his arm is back to normal, I would certainly try to sign him if I'm the Texans. That is assuming that Mario Williams signs elsewhere, which would open up a lot of cap room.

But if Manning wants to sign right away, then I agree, too much risk for Houston.

Certainly if the Pats upgrade they could get back and win another SB with Brady, not sure what that has to do with the possibily of the Texans winning in the next couple of years.

Are you kidding? Now that the Texans are a contender, it matters a heck of a lot what the Patriots, Ravens, and Steelers do every offseason. That is your competition.
