re: 2025 North Dakota Duck Hunt

Everything!
- Is that the area to be? I worked up there and I didn't see a reason to go anywhere else. Head North and east to Westhope area. You'll see plenty of spots and ducks. No one up there gives a shite about ducks. Also, you'll want to stomp around for pheasant during the day so plan on that.

- are license hard to get for non res? Over the counter

- how many dekes? Ducks are easy and dumb. Whatever you want. First time I did it, I threw out a dozen decoys and sat on a swap stool in the cattails. I could've shoot birds all day.

-is opening week best time to go? Plenty of birds in October

-does having side by side make huge difference? I just used my truck. Never needed one

-is private way to go rather than public? I always did private

Biggest question was always what I wanted to shoot. For example, you could shoot 6 teal in a matter of minutes. Would get selective in scouting and shooting on duck species.

Done it many of times. I used to work up there. Sooo many ducks. You can hunt anything that isn't posted. Really easy to get permission if you want it though. Feels weird hunting private land without permission for the first time. Potholes full of ducks everywhere near Minot. One quick drive in the afternoon and you'll be set for the AM. What do you want to know?

Terrible take. Texas has donors that could buy an NFL team if they wanted.
Sonny Dykes is taking the job.

Dykes to TCU is a done deal.

I’ve always been on the volcanoes along the Rio. Water access is a big issue for you and elk. Very little other than the River. I’ve got a few spots I can show you. The roads are terrible, but I’ve never gotten a flat. Road hunters are worthless in 50, so no need to worry about it. You may bump another hunter or too, but if they are in there deep then it usually isn’t an issue of dealing with a dumbass. I can give you some great details if you have an email I can send them too. I prefer not to put them on a public forum for obvious reasons.
I've hunted unit 50 many times. I tend to stick to the same areas. I've done it solo too. Feel free to ask any specific questions you may have.

Unit 50 is kind of a different animal than most parts of the state. It's a desert with a few big arse volcanic intrusions.

who?

For real?
"My friend had a glock taken from his truck in BR, it was used in a crime and they contacted him letting him know he will get it back once it's all over. It's been like 4 years."

This is what happened to me. I had my kimber stolen and it was used in a crime. I called once a month for a status update. Finally got it back 3-4 years after it was stolen.
I bought 48 acres to hunt on in Texas 6 years ago. It's surrounded by wooded area, similar to yours. We've had a blast on it over the years and had awesome hunts. We have a bow stand, rifle stand, and duck blind on it.

I let a taxidermist do it. I didn’t want to screw it up. I believe it was “dipped” in something. Feels and looks just like it did the day I killed it.

I have an Axis Euro in velvet. It’s my favorite mount.

No, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
