Pull ups - supinated grip, use band or pull up assist past failure.
Pull downs- turn backwards on the machine knee bolster to your back. Elbows in front of your torso and pull down. Single grips if you have it or triangle handle. Pull down in N arc, not out.
Pull overs- light weight arse to the ground. Big stretch arcing motion.
Rope push downs , bentover arms out in front, head facing down . Back away from the pulley and pull down on the cable in an arcing motion. Light weight, add weight and reps till you feel it in your lower lats.

re: Having to dig a grave for best friend of family for 16 years

I buried my 14 year old Boston last month. He hadn't been doing well for a couple of months. Went to the Vet, twice. He had a growth in his chest that was going to eventually get him.
Morning of he didn't look good, but went outside. Wife called at lunch said she was going home to check on him. He died in her arms.
I buried him in the yard with his favorite blankets.
I miss him everyday.

All those slaves in the Bible that were freed frpm Egypt? You would think since it seems like a huge number of the men are preachers they would know.

The idea that you don't understand the ramifications of an American Pope and the pride of him having LA roots, shows you need to stay out of politics.

re: Foolproof way to boil easy-to-peel shrimp?
Posted by tiger94gop on 4/21/25 at 4:49 pm
Hard to peel means they are over cooking. If the smaller ones are overcooked, you are going too long to cook the larger ones. There will be some issues because of the inconsistency in size. Smaller ones will be hard, no real way to avoid it.
I have two small pots. I salt one pot and bring it to a boil. The other pot I season. IF I am cooking something with the shrimp like vegetables, I put them in first and bring them to a boil. Then once it is at a rolling boil, I throw in the shrimp. As soon as they water starts boiling again, I go no more than 5 minutes, then I take my basket and put them in the cold water. I let them soak for 10-15 at the longest. This cools down faster and helps with consistency. I usually only have a few that are hard to peel.
Consistency in size would make a real difference. Butter, cooking oil, vinegar, etc. and all this other stuff people put in the pot has no real effect but make your shrimp slimy. No real reason any of that would slow the cooking which is the real problem.
Also, as someone else pointed out, spread them out on the table so they don't keep cooking. I have taken them and put them in the refrigerator before, then ate them later.

Also, in the Raven picture that's Miss Pat she's a comedian. I don't think she is gay.

re: Things I have noticed after getting back to the gym after 10 years.

All the women under 30 only do glute bridges to make their asses bigger. No other exercises. They park on the Smith Machine or in the squat rack for at least 30-40 minutes. Whoever sold them on this should be making a killing.
Also, gym etiquette is a thing of the past. Parking in the racks or on the equipment, taking weights when someone is at a station without asking. Just because they aren't on the bar does not mean I won't need them; just ask.
Kids thinking it's social hour and being in the way to pass, get on equipment, get to the water fountain, changing rooms, etc. People moving your stuff to get to a phone charger.
