re: What are ya’ll eating today?

Meatloaf then Chinese for dinner.
New World needs new content bad. Unfortunately, the PvP is world class but only 1 outpost rush map and arenas just isn't enough content. They have 1 raid and mythic dungeons but again not enough content at end game. They have basically ignored the player base in favor of getting console out to market. Very sad for such a fun game to play.
B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from LSU. 13 years experience and have P.E.

200-250k base plus bonus comp.

I am halfway through The Dark Forest. I'm listening through audible which makes it somewhat difficult to keep track of characters with Chinese names but they do a good job with the different voices.

It is such a interesting world and concept about alien contact. I am hooked. It ramps up and just grabs you to read more.

re: Permanent LED soffit lights?

I had Gemstone Lights installed on the front of my house. It was $3,600 here in Houston. I got a $600 discount for being offpeak season (It was September). The family loves the lights. I have them set for Sunset to Sunrise and Halloween theme right now. They installed and set everything up in a day. My controller box is in my garage next to sprinkler controller.
I'm level 32 in about 30 hours. I cruised through the UC and Freestar quest lines. The UC one takes quite a long time.

The only truly difficult part was a ship battle for me so far. Once you figure out how to fight ship to ship, it gets much easier.

If you are trying to level Piloting up to 4, go to the UC simulator and grind it out. The Piloting challenge is to destroy ships and ships destroyed in the simulation count for the challenge.
$10 off both versions at Newegg for both Steam and Windows/Xbox preorders. Use code SAVEXDPP at check-out.

Connect your laptop directly to the 4k Monoprice monitor via usb-c and the 2k Aorus via HDMI to rule out docking station issues. The 5490 seems to be the limiting factor as the USB-C can handle 1 4k 60 Hz display. I would think the addition of the 2nd monitor using the same USB-C port is downscaling both monitors.

You could also try downscaling the 4k monitor yourself in display settings to 2k.
Can you move to back to DW with your current company? I would assume you are with CVX based on you talking about a major. I left them awhile back and haven’t looked back.

I would leave asap and have your reasons ready for the inevitable question about it.

re: hows att fiber?

Posted by polizei11 on 5/2/23 at 10:35 am to
I have 2 Gbps ATT Fiber and have not had it go out once in a year. I generally have 2.25-2.5 Gbps on speedtest.

Just be aware of hardware limitations above 1 Gbps if you go that route. I have a multi-gig set up but it was not cheap. Happy to provide more details!
Go to "Interface" in Settings then "Color Customization" and change "Neutral" to whatever color you would like. I am using green and it's great.

In reference to pings in WZ 2.

re: Anybody still play New World?

I'm still playing and preparing for the Brimstone Sands release in a few weeks. Happy to answer any questions about it.

Game was a mess at launch and has been steadily improving. It is a much different game now than most of the experience posted in this thread. It still has some issues but is getting new content and fixes all of the time.
Yea you are correct. Had the 210 on my mind from the OP. I edited it.
I have ATT Fiber with the BGW 320 in IP Passthrough mode to a GT-AXE16000. The GT-AXE16000 then branches off to 2 ZenWifi Pro ET12s in wired backhaul mode. I have had zero issues with both wired and wireless connections since install with 2 Gbps fiber. I typically clock at ~2.4 Gbps.

Can you share how you set up the RT-AX86U? Did you disable the gateway's WiFi? What did you disable in the gateway settings? Did you set up AiMesh?

When I set up my network, it was pretty straightforward getting the gateway and GT-AXE16000 set up. I had some issues with the satellites but it was firmware related at the time. Zero issues since.
Tons of jobs in upstream being posted in Houston right now. I definitely think the new grads over the past 5 or so years have been hit hard but, if you have some experience, you are fine. There will be a deficit of PEs due to the social pressure on O&G as well as the Covid downturn hurting interest in the degree. We will make bank into the future. O&G won't go away for a long time as others have stated.

11 year PE here in Houston.

Patton was wrong about this. We didn't want any part of the Russian army in 1945. And the the logistics heavily favored the Russians.

We had nukes though...
I saw a few Xbox Series X and OLED Switches physically in store at Target yesterday. I definitely think it is starting to turn a corner at least for those systems. I still know people looking for PS5s.
I initiated a charge back on the 3080 I ordered from him after he went MIA for a week (still haven't heard from him).

In other news, Newegg shuffle going on right now for 3050s. I expect a BestBuy drop today as well. I'm going to try for a 3090 Ti because why not.
