Hasn't "hit me" as you say.

Really didn't do much last week either. One listing...one closing..meh.
Amazing that you place so much value in a stupid game that it would make you "not do much at work"

Today.... an open-house at 2 pm where I basically ignored the people coming in and out of the property so that I could surf the net on any piece of info about the game....pathetic!!!! Next week is going to be torturous!!!
You must be mentally ill. I am sorry. You ignore your clients over football? Remind me not to do business with you

Saturday can't get here fast enough!!!!

Poor business decision. I pray that people turn their TVs off and stop going to football games to watch little sissy ingrates play a stupid game. This will be a bad year for Feetsball from the NFL to College.

You are so full of shite it isn't even funny. I recall LSU playing Cal State Fullerton in the early 90s. Bret Boone was playing for them, got an autograph from his father Bob Boone in the stands. There were lots of small West Coast teams among others that were very good during Skip's day.

Reviews in Baseball are stupid on so many levels. Can a human element be left in the game?

Your math skills are a little askew...or you hung with the wrong crowd.
Uhhhh, maybe he hung with the right crowd.
quote:
What kind of crowd do you hang out with if 20% of them have been in a fight?
Normal MEN. At an all boys' boarding school I attended in HS, if you did NOT get in to a couple of fist fights you were going to be walked on and picked on.
quote:
I ran across a lot of people in my 6 years of college (4 undergrad and 2 grad) and I am pretty sure that I did not know one single person involved in a bar fight, or any other fight to be honest. So 20% might be just a littttttttttle stretch.
Or maybe it's the observer (you). I'm guessing you attended Co-Ed schools your entire life? Hell, there used to be a damn brawl every weekday after Woodlawn let out school where I grew up. Same crap at LSU in Tigerland. Where are you hiding? I'd say 20% is a low number per my observations.

This guy needs to be in the lineup.

So, seeing that for the first time, I have the following observations:
1. McGoober didn't dominate any of that fight. 1st round was a push.
2. McGoober should look up to Holm for her courage in that choke. Holly don't tap.
I watched it in slow motion and besides a few flashy left hands that Nate ate like his raw vegetables, he baited Conor in to gassing himself out as he popped him with clean jabs to the stomach and a nice takedown to end the round where he schooled McTapper in defensive jits while on his back, avoiding almost every strike in the last 30 seconds. Conor knew he was finished with about 50 seconds remaining in the first round. After that, Diaz bitch slapped his fellow LW competitor around and was going to eventually knock him out. Conor took a dive and quit. Diaz being cut makes it even funnier, he beat McMuffin with one eye.

Diaz has been one of the best fighters in the LW division for years. I wouldn't call him average as much as inconsistent
Exactly. Nate and Nick's only shortcoming is when they fight a world-class wrestler or grappler who can keep the fight from standing for too long.
And both have fought in the VERY best promotions. Nate has fought nothing but top 20 guys, in the UFC not Cage Warriors in Ireland, for a decade.

Diaz borderline retarded but would want him on my side if shite went down
Not retarded at all, made fools of a lot of people. He just isn't a rehearsed sellout. I've often wondered if there were no time limits in MMA? I think Diaz bros would have even less losses. Almost impossible to knock out at 155 and Nick at 170.

ya Stockton is known for producing geniuses
Apparently he is pretty smart and Stockton has produced many great people, I work with one who picked onions and other vegetables and ended up a complete success. Very tenacious individual. And my brother knows Nate Diaz since he works for the Louisiana boxing commission as the ring doctor, he's a salty, smart and honest kid who came up from nothing.

and still has less wins
Once again, REAL fighters don't care about this. And it speaks again to Nate's point, an honest assessment, that he trains with the most elite martial arts guys where MMA took root in the United States. That would be NorCal and other parts of the NW. One learns so much from 10 losses against mostly all UFC top 20 guys. Conor got his wins in a promotion on an island, not California.

is Nate Diaz retarded or slow?
Neither. I've watched both Nick and Nate for years and they seem to have social anxiety issues, disdain for stupid media questions and never have much to say at press conferences leading up to fights. If you ever have the opportunity to speak to them you will learn very quickly they are not dumb, just the opposite. The fact that they came up out of Stockton should dispel this notion of stupidity.

OP is downright wrong!!!
The way I see it, you either back in or you back out. Either way you could hold up traffic. Backing in is much safer and easier when leaving (your view when leaving isn't obstructed by the cars next to you)
You should try it sometimes!
Exactly. Usually when I'm leaving I am in a bigger hurry, so pulling straight out instead of backing out is much safer.

I back in all the time. Now I see busybodies like you hate it, I'll remember to do it even more frequently.

Very true.

No one has more talent than Louisiana in all sports.
It looks like the TCU CF was the best outfielder at the game last night. A big arm in CF helped snuff out our momentum at the beginning of the game. Nobody, maybe Foster if he's in the OF, makes a throw like that for us.

CPM and staff must think they are MLB managers.....He has this thing for using his bullpen like they are MLB pitchers. Setup guys, designated closer, blah, blah, blah...

You know what else is baseball? Not burning your closer on Friday night for no goddamn reason and bunting in the bottom of the 11th in a tie ballgame with runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs. That's fricking baseball and I'm gonna fricking bitch about it.

People probably wouldn't be talking like this if it was just one game. But this comes after stoney brook and houston
We wouldn't be talking but for this. We were deficient in the same respect last night. For example, poor baserunning, though that is a recurrent theme even in wins. Poor fundamentals with respect to bunting, yet another recurring theme. Infield rarely looks 'crisp', except Bregman who knows for sure where he'll start defensively tomorrow on the IF (LOL). Last year I thought the only IF we had that could start for Houston was Bregman, especially defensively.
