I am not a Saban fan I hate his guts, but give credit where its due. We are able to recruit because Saban rose the program from the dead, built the Cox Academic center and about 100 other things to resurrect the program, now Miles is running it in to the ground

So what your telling me is LES is doing a better job than Saban did? You were cuddling a cabbage patch kid the last time we were in a dogfight with Miss State. The game usually isn't worth watching, Vegas thinks we are 14 points better, we aren't we should have lost that game.

There are people on this site who would argue that the world is round. Unreal. We are all fans but the intelligent ones are getting a little pissed off by this junior varsity coaching staff. If the coaches had half the passion of the readers of this site we would be playing to our potential.

We will not beat UGA, unless we can run the ball. Jefferson is very good but between the hedges, with that noise he is going to need a running game to take the pressure off him. Miles doesn't have the ability to get these guys to play to their potential.

I think everyone's expectations are way too high. Under Saban we blew out inferior opponents. If we were better than a team we squashed them, we got use to that! This is not a Nick Saban coached team. for better or WORSE, it is what it is. This team plays just good enough to win. There isn't a person on this board who can tell me that we play to our potential. There isn't a person on this board that can tell me we are improving (offensive line/ play calling)!

The problem is a complacency that comes with 3.5 million a year. See defense exibit A Jamarcus Russell (way more money). This O line does not play hungry, they play without emotion or heart, the way Les Miles coaches.

I want to a coach any coach running around rallying the troops firing up the guys. We are not getting the most out of our players! A team full of 2 and 3 stars playing HUNGRY beats a team loaded with 4 and 5 stars not playing hungry, that's why we are playing to the level of our opponent. Do you remember when Saban showed the guys movies? He did that to inspire them, to fire them up, if that didn't work he chewed their as_ on the sideline if they didn't play hungry! We have lost that passion, that fire, that sense of purpose and I put that squarely on the shoulders of LES MILES

There are many ways to evaluate the performance of a head football coach. Recruiting, X's and o's, public image, keeping kids out of trouble ect. My criteria is, do the players look more polished as the weeks go on? Is there clear improvement in the (mistakes) of the previous contest? In my opinion Les Miles is not a very good coach. He has surrounded himself with outstanding coordinators and recruited well, which is why he has been successful. If you compare him to, let's say an Urban Meyer, Huston Nutt, or Nick Saban there is 1 glaring difference!

Les Miles is FAR inferior in his ability to coach up the x's and 0's! This O line (his specialty) is down right awful. The running game is as bad as I have seen it in a decade. Charles Scott's draft stock is dropping faster than enron stock. The missed 4th and 1 is only a sign of more to come. If you can't run with success at home against a sunbelt team, what are you going to do against a Bama or Florida front? There are lots of Les Miles fans, and the reason he is popular? He goes for it on 4th down, well if he could a coach and get the offensive line to block a little better, he wouldn't have to go for it! Get a little fired up, tip over the gatorade table in the locker room, bench a couple starters,show the team seabiscuit ,whatever it takes.

This team hasn't improved offensively at all. Take a look at an example of what good coaching can do. Washington's coaches (from USC) turned a 0-12 program in to an upset win over #3 USC last weekend. Did they have the talent to do it? Heck no, they played with emotion, with heart, to the best of their potential and then some. So is this LSU offensive line playing to their potential??? Is Miles really worth 3.3 million? Is it worth $300 for 2 tickets to watch this team?? I am a fan and will pay any price but where does the madness stop? Another 4 or 5 loss season and they will be giving the tickets away!
