One damn fine choice. The offense is going to rock next season!
re: Who here is confident in Chavis?

"Third and Chavis". I remember when we got him, all of the Tennessee fans told us about his inability to stop third down conversions. I thought, that's UT, this is LSU. Well, it's Chavis.
However, I do remember seeing the heat turned up a couple of times in the beginning of the season with a few blitzes on third. Maybe he can learn from those for next season.

And you? What can you do better than a fifth grader? Not internet posting that's for damn sure.
Don't hate man. I don't have thousands of posts, but everybody's gotta' start somewhere. You pretty much suck. :moon: You and Crowton should move on.
...and you too "LSU Grandad".

Can Crowton coach better than a 5th grader?

Well, we can see how effective Crowton's been at improving the offense this season - so give him another year and maybe he'll reach the absolute bottom of the barrel. LSU only has 12 more spots to go to be the worst offense in the nation.

LSU doesn't have a chance and Miles is gone if they keep Crowton. He is incapable of admitting his schemes/planning are failing and he continues to do the same thing week in and week out. :moon:

re: What about Weiss as LSU OC

Let's face it, we could hire a chimp and he could only drop us 12 more spots. There are no more steps down to being THE WORST OFFENSE in the nation. Look at this...

His hire could be great with a new OC!!! :banghead:
But YOU ARE CRAZY if you think we'll see a difference with Crowton in charge. Aren't we supposed to get better during the season?

Right on. I've defended Miles for several years, but I can't anymore. Deer in the headlights at the end of the game.
Also, Crowton is a complete failure as an OC. The no-huddle gimmick has been a huge flop. With a new QB and young players, he should have never kept up the nonsense. Talking about a lack of intellectual flexibility - doesn't work, try something different. Most of the plays are called in late, the O has no time to think or prepare - thus the "predictable" calls. It has NOTHING to do with JJ or anyone else on the field, those guys are excellent athletes and would thrive under a gifted coach. If GC doesn't go, then Miles needs to hand over the great guys he's recruited to someone who knows what to do with them.

Great job, Carl. I really like Miles and think he's a great coach. However, my only beef with him is that he stubbornly stuck with Lee for so long last year. I disagree with Ciron Black when he says last year's problem wasn't on the field. I'm not sure what was happening in the locker room, but I did see what was happening in the back field and under center week in and week out. Just how long does a QB get to improve his game? The only reason Miles got "under the hood" with QBs and made the changes for Ga Tech is that Lee had his bell rung and Miles finally had to realize that maybe Jefferson was ready to play. I'm glad we're starting a new season and hope Miles won't be so reluctant to bench those who aren't preforming after a couple of games.
