re: James Harden >Kobe at 26

Yep and if Kobe didn't play any defense AND if he didn't play alongside another NBA top 50-75 all time player in that span his numbers would have been far greater

I really don't understand anyone that likes James Harden.

He plays half the game.
most important item of the night
who is this with MJ

Cheating=Winnning=SMU - Tulane says "sign us up"

The reward for cheating in the NCAA far outweighs the penalty. money and exposure can't be taken away
Because Toledo had 20 years pro head coaching experience. Right on.

"#Breaking Rumor: #Arizona associate head coach Joe Pasternack set to takeover for #Memphis coach Josh Pastner."

what
Former Tulane TE/RB coach Dave Johnson interviewed for the WR coach job yesterday. He took a job at Memphis after Curtis Johnson was let go as the WR coach there. He is former St Aug head coach and coached WRs most of his career.

Keith Williams is the really good coach Tulane had a WR that left for Nebraska a year ago. He was at Fresno St before that. I am not sure if he interviewed but he has connections now in New Orleans, South FLA and a lot on the West Coast. Go watch his twitter. Any guy he has ever coached (NFL guys) follow him wherever he goes to coach to work out with him. He is a very good position coach, okay recruiter. His value at this point in his career is his coaching ability.
Know someone that coached him at the UA week/game. Said kid is gonna be a flat out stud. Said he is hands down one of the most legit big time recruits he has coached/seen in person. Has great intangibles too, not just the physical talent. Absolute stud.

I don't think Jason Rollins is leaving to go to UTSA.

Georgia Southern’s Willie Fritz reaches verbal agreement to be Tulane’s coach, source told @ESPN. 1st reported by @ScottDKushner

The problem with that is the last time that happened at Tulane, the school got all butthurt about Bowden leaving

New school President and new Athletic Director. That was 17 years of the same people running the clown show.

This is a Tommy Bowden hire. He will win quickly and be gone. But if Sam Houston on the lower level is any indication, he will not leave the program in a mess. He set that program up for long-term success.

Exactly. Tulane needs to hire the guy that will win 2-3 years in a row and leave and then hire the next guy that will do it. You worry about a long term hire after you have sustained success for a decade plus. Maybe you get lucky along the way and guy wants to stay a long time but who cares if a guys stays long or not as long as you keep winning. Once coaches see they can succeed at Tulane they know it is a good bridge to the next higher paying job and that is a good thing.
In the last 4 years Fritz has averaged almost 40 a game, 37.5 the last two years with the triple option.

Not wanting to fight with you, just want more facts on the table than perceptions and fiction.

I think Tulane would thrive in a more wide open offense but hell, everyone in the country would improve scoring doing that.

Ga Tech and Navy do pretty damn good.
You didn't answer the question but it is clear what you would pick. It was a scenario question to spark conversation, something you obviously have a hard time doing on a message board.
What is more important to Tulane fans, Winning more games than you lose with an ugly option or losing more games than you win but having a flashy offense?

I don't think the guy would run the 3op at Tulane but I am pretty sure anyone would pick winning over losing other than most Tulane fans. :violin:
