I have wanted Freeze from the get go. He's admitted his mistakes, accepted and in my opinion served his punishment. He is a great coach and would be great at LSU. I know you are friends with Freeze from your posts here.....does this post have an encrypted message? :geauxtigers:

Freeze has been my top choice for a while. You’re right, the man is an offensive mastermind. I also agree that mistakes can be learned from and I hope it works out! He would wreck shite at LSU.

I agree 100%

he’s done nothing to prove he’s worthy of coaching a position

4 year starter at LSU
16 years in the NFL as Center and Guard
8 times named to Pro Bowl
3 times All Pro
2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame

I think he qualifies quite well to have a coaching position.
You sir have hit the nail on the head !!! Listen to Saban in the media. He is constantly talking about giving his players the tools they need to grow and be SUCCESSFUL MEN IN LIFE not just getting them to the NFL.
Hopefully, they aren't served crappy McDonald's and Taco Bell food

That's what Clemson ordered !!

Regardless if Wade is guilty or not, we all knew of the wiretap last October and in the conversation transcripts that were released, it sounded like something that needed thorough investigation. Did that happen? No. That's on Alleva.

This has been my question all along. Why wasn't a meeting held in October with Coach Wade when this first came out ? Why wasn't an investigation launched right then by LSU to find out just what had transpired ? This whole situation has been a debacle from the get go. That is on LSU and the administration !!

Saw one on I-20 East Bound in Bossier City today. Great strategy by LSU !!!
I agree. He sounds like he would make a GREAT AD for LSU !! :geauxtigers:

My takeaway is that Alleva got involved and affirmed that O was to let the coordinators do their job

I agree completely

quote:

Is this a normal thing that happens at universities? Apparently not when Miles was there as Alleva was basically shrugged off by CLM, but O does not have that luxury, apparently.

I would think no it's not normal for the AD to be having meetings like this taking away authority from the Head Coach. In my opinion it shows a lack of respect for the knowledge and ability of Coach O to get the job done. I wasn't happy about the Head Coach hire but LSU has to live with it for now unless boosters pony up million's more for the buyout's
Thank you sir and to Salviati for pointing this out. I have listened to the podcast 3 times and NO WHERE in it does Mr. Landry say "directing the offense and defense in the background"

Sure, but they have to show some want and chest on the field. These are adults we are talking about. It isn't just the scoreboard it's what is shown by them on the field that has everyone in an uproar.

Don't disagree with this....but if there is dissension in the locker room and the coaching staff as reported by some, the players attitude and performance on the field will reflect this. With everything that is going on I personally believe these reports.

it is their right

Thank you for your service......but actually it's not their "right". It's against US Code

United States Code, 36 U.S.C. § 301, states that during a rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart; Members of the Armed Forces and veterans who are present and not in uniform may render the military salute; men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold the headdress at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note; and when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed. Military law requires all vehicles on the installation to stop when the song is played and all individuals outside to stand at attention and face the direction of the music and either salute, in uniform, or place the right hand over the heart, if out of uniform. A law passed in 2008 allows military veterans to salute out of uniform, as well.
2 Timothy 3New International Version (NIV)

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Here's an idea.....why don't you go to lsusports.net and watch it

BUT could he have meant moving forward, the remainder of the year with the personnel we have in place, that he would be running a vertical pro style offense. Not much of a transition from what Miles was running, but promoting a more aerial attack?

Then, if he got the job, implement whatever wholesale changes he wanted to moving into the following season based on OC hire?

Finally.......someone that get's it !!

Congrats to the Big 10.....but wouldn't it be better for the NCAA to nationalize All the Ref's like the NFL does ? It's not like they don't have the money or couldn't find the money to pay these guys and their expenses. Just a thought :dunno:
