So many of these athletes have been told since birth that they are special, that they are exceptional, and that they deserve to start. There is an entitlement mentality with many of these players. I've noticed these past couple of years that coaches of a certain age are retiring from the college sports. Saban, the MBB head coaches at Miami, Villanova, and Virginia, Chip Kelly relinquishing the head coaching job at UCLA to become the OC at Ohio State. With that move, he lost millions but probably gained some years on his life. Anson Dorrance, the head women's soccer coach at UNC-Chapel Bill retired last year. He had 21 natty's. I speculate that Coach Mulkey is one who just wants to coach...I coached as a GA in college, I coached HS football for 25 years and I can't imagine having to ascertain, daily, if I'm gonna have a kid for the next game. The starting QB's at both UNLV and Boston College packed it in mid season...I find it comically sad that Bryce Underwood is making more per year, as an 18 year old, that 3/4 of the Michigan football staff...AND he's never played a down of college football. Crazy stuff...
This and I add Shawn Burks, Darryl Daye and the marvelous Tulane fight and Lyman White...Throw in Clinton Burrell...
I was 13 living in Little Rock and my sister, brother and I went to see Yes…the opening band was The Eagles…the ticket cost $4.50…

PT should require you to get to 0 degrees extension before releasing you. Flexion is tricky because of the muscle tightness developed prior to the procedure. Did you have full extension/flexion prior to the procedure? If so, 4-6 months with regular strength rehab.
Cheaters to read was the morning after my 40th birthday. Progressives were when I hit 63...
Dr Carlton was the absolute best…an amazing mind!
I think the loss of Dellinger is huge…he calls protections, is able to pick up the d line twists, and is able to get his eyes to where they need to be…also, he’s got a boatload of experience…he’s seen a bunch which really is vital to success. Think starting a freshman qb after your senior qb is out with injury…
I coached high school football for quite a while...I took a job at a brand new high school where the county admin thought it would be a great idea to have a new high school with no senior class to play established high schools in our area...we were pummeled regularly, of course, with the worst score being 77-0. The halftime score was 49-0 and their head coach came across the field before the second half kickoff to say "Good job the first half coach...just letting you know that we are throwing the ball in the second half to get ready for the playoffs"...I swear that he was pulling kids from the tuba section to play during the 4th quarter...
Brought with him sanity and stability...he and his staff have had difficulty bringing in defensive talent and that has cost them. I'm curious to see how Baker's scheme meshes with the talent...ILB's still have poor gap fits, D lineman losing at the LOS which puts pressure on a secondary that is not quite there as far as performance. He had a trio of trancendent players last year that was able to hide some offensive weaknesses...
Mark Prior...Stephen Strasburg

Coach Nader was my position coach, I worked for Jeff Boss and if Greg Stringfellow is anything like either of those men, he is a blessing to all human kind...I wish him only the best...
Scoot has been around since I was in high school during the Carter years! He and Captain Humble were the morning dj's for WRNO and WWL-FM...

Prayers for you and your family...my adult daughter was diagnosed at 14 with BPD...bumpy road but worth it. Find a therapist that specializes in BPD in adolescents...that is important. Secondly, you may consider family therapy because the events don't occur in a vacuum...lastly, medication and routine are all important. You will be able to determine when she is in her mood cycles...It's important that you and your SO can anticipate the cycle and be able to soften the landing. It is so difficult to navigate, sometimes painfully so...but it's evident that you love your daughter and honestly, that love will get you to the other side. Blessings and prayers your way, my friend. Be safe...take care.
RDU is a truly decent place to live. Yes, inside the Triangle is busy but 10-20 minutes outside of the metro areas, Raleigh and Durham, life is good. 2+ hours to the beach, 3+ hours to the mountains and a plethora of lakes, with culture, entertainment, sports with the several colleges and the NHL Hurricanes...also, the public schools are decent with several charter and private schools in the area. Wish you nothing but the best!
Freshman wall...this time last year, she was going on recruiting trips and picking out a prom dress, not going against DI athletes 6 days a week...
Self storage is an incredibly lucrative franchise...many can be managed off site...crazy money!

re: Private school, yay or nay?

I think it depends on your child. I attended both public and private schools as a child. I taught for seemingly ever, both in public and private schools. I think there is the opportunity for your child to be challenged academically at both public and private. Does your child have a IEP or any type of special needs that cannot be addressed in the private realm? Does your child need transportation? What about sports teams? Required parent volunteer hours? At a private school, are you, as parents, comfortable with the doctrine/philosophy/teaching model adopted by the school? I suggest going to visit a school and get a feel for the dynamic...The fact that you've asked the question tells me that you will make the right choice. Blessings!
An acquaintance told me this story...this young man was a videographer during Coach Saban's run at LSU. Everyday he would walk down the hallway to do whatever chore he was doing at that time. Everyday, he would pass Coach Saban in the hallway and offer a greeting. Coach Saban would offer a tacit acknowledgement and move on. On this particular day, the videographer decided not to greet Coach Saban, maybe a little gamesmanship, and walks by Coach without the greeting. As he passes Coach Saban, he hears Coach Saban say "Hey, not even a hello today?"...
