In Manitoba north of Winnipeg on a fishing trip with colleagues and Pfizer representatives. We’d been out of touch for 4 days fishing and were driving back to Winnipeg to catch our flight home.

I finally got a signal on my cell and my phone rang and it was my secretary. She called and told me about the first plane hitting the towers. I told her to keep us informed.

She called back right as we pulled into the Winnipeg airport and let us know a second plane hit the other tower and that our flights might be cancelled.

We got to the airport and it was mayhem. Our flight was cancelled and we watched the towers collapse at the airport.

A local news group interviewed us (Americans) but I’m not sure if it made TV. We were pissed and wanted some heads to roll and said it to the reporters.

We got rooms at a local hotel and went to rent vans. The rental company told us if we took them to the US they’d report them stolen. We talked to our companies and they said screw that, get your asses across the border as it might be closing. We cancelled those hotels and took off.

We drove south to the border figuring it would be on high alert. We had three vans filled with people, luggage and fishing equipment in flight containers. We got to the border, a little shack with one guy who didn’t even come out. He simply asked if we were Americans and waved us through. I’m not sure he even knew it had happened.

We drove to Sioux City and unloaded the vans. One of the Pfizer guys wives coordinated car rentals for our group to divide up and head home.

It took us almost 20 hours driving to get home. Crazy day for the world.

They did try to charge us thousands of dollars penalty on the vans but we sic’ed our travel department on them and they decided to drop the penalties.

TLDR: Fishing on the Winnipeg River

Their minds may change after they have discussions of the potential consequences of expulsion.

You know, if expelled that LSU will be suing the SEC and its voting members for selective enforcement of the rules, of antitrust violations and damage to income and reputation.

I’m not a lawyer, but the things I’m reading include 3x damages just for antitrust alone. Since we’ve got $720 million left on our SEC Disney contract that’s a damage amount of over $2.1 billion, just from the SEC. Not sure how they’d carve out our pound of flesh from member institutions.

The Judge in that case might just say “Disney, just sign all those TV revenue checks directly over to Louisiana State University.

I believe that’s our winning stance that the SEC selectively enforces their rules.

This is simply another example.

I don’t think we’re done with these players, and Imdont think Lane and LSU aren’t done fighting.

They didn’t need to roster these players today, they were still ineligible due to time with team.

We changed the narrative to the SEC screwed them and the NCAA dropped the ball.

We’re seeing the end results of feminism. They’ve created men hating women and demonized being male.

It was a lot of fun. Went to KC for the Netherlands vs Tunisia match and got to march with the Oranje Army, 36K fans and their 2 double decker buses they imported for the WC.

Met a bunch of people, mostly from the Netherlands but also a few from Tunisia or with Tunisian background.

The visitors were shocked how great our country and people were compared to the impressions the media portrays.

Soccer on TV is boring but live it’s actually pretty intense, especially at the WC level.

Another favorite is Trindon Holliday with the 92 yd KO return on 2006 against Arkansas. Darren McFadden had just gone 80 yds untouched up the middle for a TD and the stadium in Little Rock was going crazy. The Hogs kicked off and Trindon took off and the stadium went from wild to absolute silence…

Except for the screaming Tiger fans!!

I’ll argue he’s a 17 year old kid who wants to make it to the MLB and get paid what he thinks he’s worth.

IF he chooses the route via LSU I expect he’ll be a fine teammate as that’s his choice to achieve his goal.

It’s not like we’re forcing him to accept NIL money :lol:

If nothing else, it’s given us baseball fans things to talk about. Heck, some of the tards at Hogville are freaking out about us possibly getting him to campus.
