I can't watch the mound visits. Totally non-genuine, cringe-worthy talks.

DEI coach gets a DEI schedule. Shocked

Dumb comment. This schedule was Brian Kelly's brainchild. As we learned the hard way, Brian Kelly is a loser. Also, fyi, teams put together their schedules together far in advance.

Freeman wants more challenging schedules. That's why they have Auburn, Texas, Florida, Alabama, etc. in their upcoming schedules

Might want to know this before saying dumb stuff.

Kelly did what Freeman did at ND

Kelly won the Orange Bowl?
Kelly won the Sugar Bowl against the SEC champion?

Please point me to a major bowl that Kelly won.

I'll wait patiently.

When your coaches have been Brian Kelly, Charlie Weis, and Ty Willingham, you tend to be overrated. That's a bad group right there.

No surprise here - Kelly's LSU teams underperformed too.

Freeman is on a different level than those clowns so ND has been far better and more competitive. This year's team is deep. Plus the schedule is weak.
I mostly just follow and read along, but how are you able to stay on top of this and know who we are on in terms of recruits? Novice question I know, but I was just curious.

They tried to retool Simpson’s swing and it didn’t work. He came in a productive college hitter. Run him out there and see if it’ll work in the SEC. That’s what UGA does. I think frustration on both sides has led to what’s become of Simpson’s year with LSU.

Any idea what they did to his swing? Why mess with something that has worked?
More insane would be only giving up 3 runs
Very questionable roster construction. I know he likes off offense, but you need to have some elite defenders as potential subs. These freshman must’ve been showcase prodigies. But they can’t play defense.
Patrick pinch ran for Pearson.

Then Clauss was inserted for Patrick

Yep. Raw deal for him
Morgan was really good at stretching after he knew where the ball would end up.

Too many 1B stretch too early, before the throw is made, and then put themselves out of position to catch a throw that is a little wide.

I prefer no stretch unless absolutely necessary on a bang-bang play.
He was recruited for his bat. Colleges don't really recruit 1B. It's a position of last resort.

Also, Jay Johnson said he was the best high school bat that he saw in last year's class. Pretty strong stamp of approval regardless of PG's ranking.
Needs to stay in the bullpen. One of our top 3-4 arms, and need to have one of them available in high pressure situations.

No outs. And a lefty at this plate to give the C a free lane to throw. Not smart.

He tries to make all of our hitters hit one way, one style. Note that Vandy’s lefty had a big leg kick. None of our guys do that. Or they are told not to.

If we are missing under on 88, we don’t have a prayer vs 95.
3 guys left and are performing:

Costello is hitting .328 at Maryland
Larson is hitting .310 at Texas
Ryan is hitting .314 at NC State
It works for some. But certainly not all. A lot of successful hitters use a leg kick or operate in a narrower stance. He seems to force the wide base on all hitters. At least that’s what it appears.
To have wide stances with little or no strides? They all hit super spread out, and most of them look stuck at the plate. I can’t think of one hitter on the team who has a leg kick or even much of a stride.
