I watched it awhile back. As bad as you could imagine. At no point did any of the water scenes look even remotely like a bayou. More like a small, shallow river in west Texas.

Dang, inflation hit hard in the mid 70s. Same tickets in '76 were $7. What a rip.

You could say the same thing about people that drive trucks.

Whatever you do, don't get on a plane if you are flying. Wife and I had to fly to DC a couple of weeks ago, and had someone seated behind us hacking away on the flights to and from. Both of us have been sick ever since. Have some consideration for others.
re: Anybody had their office Christmas party yet?
Posted by Raleigh Tiger on 12/15/23 at 8:57 am
Used to have a huge one with a band, tons of great food and an open bar. In addition to all the employees, lots of friends of the owners would get invited. Every year it would get bigger and bigger and outsiders crashing it for all the free food and booze. Had to get local law to work it to keep out the uninvited. The mayor even crashed it one time and went around shaking everyone's hand, including one of the owners, and thanking them for showing up, like it was his party. Finally had to change over to a Christmas luncheon for just employees because it was getting so big and out of hand.

I know someone in the military with top secret clearance, and for some things, ultra clearance. He has worked at area 51 and says there are some amazing things there. He said he can't say what is there, but he can say what is not there, and there are no alien spacecraft there.

Where is there a Whataburger in Youngsville?
re: How do you tell your gf or SO that you’d like her to shed a few pounds?
Posted by Raleigh Tiger on 8/17/23 at 12:31 pm
My wife used to ask me how much weight I thought she should lose (obvious trap). My reply was always "how much do you want to weigh", knowing my next question, if she answered, would be "how much do you weigh now?" She never answered.

Wait until you need to buy a new battery because the old one died. The 7.5 Amp hour battery in my Ego mower just died. Warranty is for 3 years. Naturally it's 3 months out of warranty. New one same size is $400. For $100 more I could buy the same lawnmower brand new.

All the Popeyes I've had lately has sucked. Hardly seasoned at. Always had a good experience with Bojangles. Bojangles chicken is what Popeyes used to be, plus free iced tea with your order, and better fries and biscuits.

Love his channel. Very entertaining and professionaly done. Hecklefish is a riot, plus he has a good looking wife that he shows from time to time.
re: The value of an Open House?
Posted by Raleigh Tiger on 3/3/23 at 4:09 pm
Two years ago when I sold my house in Raleigh, I had an open house on one Saturday and half day Sunday. You'd have thought I was giving away money there were so many people. Each visit was alloted 15 minutes and then get out for the next group to view. Had 18 offers when we shut it down on Sunday. All of them well over asking.
Where you live makes a big difference regarding open houses.

Yes. She was talking to him the entire time trying to calm him down and keep him from making a huge mistake that would likely have gotten him sued into oblivion.

That happened right in front of me. Guy was lucky. Dustin was trying to get off the jeep to kick that guy's arse, but his wife was holding him back.
re: CHANGE MY MIND:the beach sucks arse

I own a condo in Phoenix West II, and I usually only go on the beach for a couple of hours on the weeks when I'm there. It gets boring pretty quick.
I also usually only go in the spring and winter to avoid the heat. April is the perfect time to go to avoid the massive crowds, and the temperature is usually perfect.

re: What’s your average cost for a family vacation?
Posted by Raleigh Tiger on 4/22/22 at 1:29 pm
In Orange Beach right now at Phoenix West II. These condos cost 525k new 6 years ago. Today they go for 1.5 million and up. Condo fees are $1000 month. Values went up so the rental rates went up with them. Just eating out cost a fortune. Picked up a shrimp poboy from Doc's. $21 for just a poboy with 6 shrimp on it. I'm not poor, but I won't be going back to Doc's again. Don't see how people with multiple kids can do it.

The theme from the 60s cartoon Underdog will always be tops for me.
"Speed of lightning! Roar of thunder! Fighting all who rob or plunder! underdooooooog, underdog UNDERDOG!

Just moved three weeks ago. Hired a moving company to pack everything and unload it. Best 9k I ever spent. Of course I moved half way across the country.
re: North Dallas Home Market is Nuts...

Live in Raleigh and put a “Coming Soon” sign out late Friday. Saturday had no look full ask offer. Sunday someone driving by saw me outside so stopped to talk. Offered 10k over list and we wouldn’t have to fix anything, not that there’s anything that needs fixing. Doesn’t actually go on the market until Friday and we’re expecting a stampede.
re: Anyone ceramic coat their car?
Posted by Raleigh Tiger on 12/12/20 at 12:53 pm
I washed with a high ph car wash to strip old wax, clay bar, polish with polisher to remove any scratches and then used Turtle Wax ceramic polish. One coat, wait 24 hours and then a second coat for maximum life. Did all three of my cars. They look fantastic. Washed for the second time over a week ago, drive daily and the paint is still slicker than snot on a doorknob. Highly recommend. Ceramic spray goes on fast. Two coats on three cars and still have enough left to do another car or two.
