i can just see it now - we get a CLEAN hit on him and get flagged over and over for unsportsmanlike penalties

Clean hit??? LSU doesn't know the meaning of the word "CLEAN HIT".

Les will be like that karate instructor on Karate Kid where he looks at Chad Jones and says, "Take him out...". We all know, for Les, it's all about winning at all costs. Screw the health of arguably the greatest player in the history of college football!

LSU or UF fans won't know if Tebow will be playing until Oct 10th.

Urban will take a page from Les' playbook: Dance around injuries, double speak, mislead the media, and lead everyone on until gameday, when the truth is finally revealed.

With that said, giving Brantley all the snaps this week and possibly next week too (if Tim cannot play), will do nothing more than give Florida the element of surprise. LSU has practially zero game tape of what Brantley will do. Urban will concoct some new plays and Chavis will not know what hit him until it is too later!
Please tell me this is not one of those threads about how a team is "never the same" after getting beat-up from playing LSU.

I remember 3~4 years ago when y'all just wouldn't stop about how Auburn just "wasn't the same team" after playing LSU and their season when into a nosedive.

Well Vandy was the same team...a crappy team. So please PLEASE don't start saying all their losses was because LSU kicked their teeth in. I think we all agree this LSU team - while good - is not the powerhouse team from '03 '04 etc. Seriously folks!

re: Spurrier's biggest win at USC?

True, but it was his first meeting against the Gators AND he singlehandedly knocked us out of the SECCG.

This is the one time I ever uttered the words "Damn you, Steve Spurrier. Damn you!!!"
I would sooo be there if it weren't for that pesky arrest warrant should I ever step foot in WVa again....

Runnin' 'shine just ain't worth it boys...

If Say a Fifth-Ranked LSU Beats Florida...

...and Ole Miss beats Bama in 2OT....then who would be #1 and why?

I'm assuming that the Georgia game is in the bag for you guys...

re: what the hell is the Gator flop?

Y'all are going waaaaayy back for material now. Must be a slow news day. This issue is only between Miamuh and Florida. No need for LSU fans to worry themselves about the Florida Flop. This doesn't even belong in the SEC Rant!

It's not like we chopped blocked anybody...

...and look where it got John Reaves. Now, he's Lane Kiffin's father-in-law!!!! Wouldn't wish THAT on anybody.

There's a Hilton Garden Inn in Philadelphia a quarter mile from the casino.

Hotel direct line: 601-389-6600

...worse than usual or just par for the course?
Florida's receivers had injuries (Cooper & Thompson) had injuries. Aaron Hernandez and Jeff Demps had the flu (six players got it now). Spikes had Achilles issues. Overall, the Gators just had a bad game. Hopefully the bye week ahead of LSU will give them time to rest up and game plan for the Tigers. The UGA game should give us some good tape to review.

Just hope LSU's upcoming flu bout doesn't coincide with Oct. 10th!

Late addition.....Go Gators!
This game (and Tulane, La Tech, Arkansas, maybe Auburn) should be taken as great opportunities for Tiger fans to see their team take the field for wayyyy less than normal prices. Yeah, the Florida game is going to kick you square in the wallet for all non-season ticket holders. But hey, if you go to all the games and pay prevailing market value (say $5 apiece for ULL), you will probably still come out ahead of your poor TAF-paying sucker...I mean season ticket holder to has to pony up full price for every game before the season starts! I'm not even talking about the interest you are saving by leaving your money in the bank for several months either!

Geaux Tigers!
