More populist but socially and fiscally I would say yes.
re: Bongingo And Patel. Liars?

Bongino said he didn’t see anything in the files that indicated it wasn’t suicide. That doesn’t necessarily mean that it wasn’t. Just that there is no evidence.

I think ICE and DHS must have screwed up. If the original story of everybody sneaking in while the transport van was entering the gate was true all of them would be a slam dunk charge for everybody. I think they are charging the one that is on video being physical to try and save face and she will get off.
re: Moody’s downgrades United States credit rating, citing growth in government debt

Hedge funds didn’t buy the huge selloff and now want cheaper shares. Credit rating got downgraded in 2023 and the market ripped. Hopefully it allows Roy and the Republicans holdouts to push a few additional spending cuts in the reconciliation bill.

Well JD Vance is pretty awesome. Need to get rid of the establishment republicans. I’m hopeful most in the Senate lose this cycle.

It makes no sense to put off work recruitments for Medicaid until 2029. It is stupid get allow the green tax credits. Huge SALT deductions are BS. Republicans said they were going to balance the budget. Trump ran on it. So actually do it.
It is unlikely the republicans keep the house anyway. They haven’t passed any of Trump’s EO’s into law, used recission to make DOGE cuts permanent etc. these republicans that voted no are just trying to get done what Trump ran on.

I want those New Jersey congressmen arrested. Either ICE lied about them sneaking in the facility or they are gutless and scared to charge them. Either way is pathetic.
re: Schumer: “I’m Officially Halting All DOJ Appointees”

He can’t halt he can just delay. They have done that on almost all the appointees.
re: Senate Majority Leader John Thune signals opposition to Trump's EO on lower drug prices

I don’t think they want to pass it into law right away because they want to include it in the big beautiful bill and be able to say the democrats voted against it. They better pass it eventually, but the republicans in the house and senate are worthless hopefully Tillis Cassidy Cornyn and a few others all get primaried.
re: Parameters of the China deal
Posted by rstamp1 on 5/12/25 at 7:08 am
I thought they would reduce down to the Liberation day rate. I guess it gives the US 90 days to finish agreements with the EU, South Korea Japan and India which would improve the US’s position to negotiate with China.
re: Treasury Sec. Bessent says the US made “substantial” progress on trade talks with China

Problem is probably next week the courts are going to start ruling that Trump exceeded his authority and ruin his leverage. Need to get the big deals done as quickly as possible.
re: Breaking: GOP tax bill now includes large tax increases on college endowments

This isn’t the republicans party of Bush and corporations. It is a working class party now. The establishment will either adjust or get destroyed in elections now that Trump isn’t on the ticket.
re: Any news on WBB targets to fill-out roster?

Saw an interview of one of the assistants on 104.5. Said they likely had 2 more additions to the roster coming soon.
re: Very big announcement

Ceasefire for Ukraine and Russia. I’m guessing a few weeks while they both pretend to negotiate.

I don’t understand why the President doesn’t put forward a placeholder. Put in Martin as a Deputy AG or some unconfirmed position and tell him to run it.
re: India offers the Trump admin zero-for-zero tariffs on auto parts, steel and pharmaceutical

I think Trump tries to get closer to India and the Middle East. And basically tells the EU to go to hell. Trump is visiting Saudi, Quatar and UAE next week. I’d guess that trip is also about how to handle Iran. Seems like they will all have to band together to stop Israel from bombing Iran.

re: Roy (R-TX) comes out in SUPPORT of President Trump's discretionary budget proposal

DOD has to completely redo their procurement process. They overpay for everything. I don’t mind increasing the budget if it is needed and spent in a sensible manner. If it is overpaying for everything then I have a problem with it.
