Little Elvis Hitler don't'cha follow me
These scars on my back - they're because of you
And these cuts on my wrists
They're just me trying to get away from you
And I'm still trying to get away
Which Way Do We Run? - Gov't Mule
These scars on my back - they're because of you
And these cuts on my wrists
They're just me trying to get away from you
And I'm still trying to get away

Hard to beat the 2013 Iron Bowl and the kick six
I'll never forget that game. A friend and I were at Knucklehead's in Metairie sitting at the bar. When the kick six happened that place just erupted. People were spilling out into the parking lot and the street. It was bedlam.

These guys were pretty good too. I decided to not post “California Dreaming”as it’s become cliched these days.
I was so in love with Michelle Phillips when I was a kid.

It’s wild to me that if you overlaid the storm paths of Katrina and Camille, there would be an X where the pearl river passes by Bogalusa. Both of those storms absolutely wrecked that area.
I was in Bogalusa for Camille and it was brutal. We heard pine trees snapping all night long. I didn't expect to see a single tree standing the next morning.

Everything from the materials it sits in and flows through along the process, what they cleaned containers with, temperatures at each step along the process contributes to flavor as well. Having the bottle solves none of that.
All of that and more. How was the barley roasted? What proportions of barley were used? What was the mash temp? When were hops added? What temperature did it ferment at? How long was it aged and in what? About the only thing they know is the water but even that may have changed since then.

There is no question about it. Those guys do not play around and are the world's best at PIT.

I didn't know beer had DNA
Yeast has DNA, barley has DNA, hops has DNA. But it seems like you'd need more than just DNA to make the beer.

U2 - loved their first few albums but then they got all preachy and sanctimonious.

Charles Scott is the only one I know of from my high school that played for the Tigers.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Mark Knopfler. He's as good as ever and his band is incredible.

Shattered Sword is THE book on Midway. Jon has another book coming out in a few weeks. It covers the year 1942, which is when everything turned around in WWII.

ETA: Just found out that the book is already out. My copy will arrive tomorrow.

Exactly. It was empty. Devoid of any interesting ideas. There's a lot talent to it but it was wasted on an empty art form.
