Holman does have amazing “stuff”. There is more to “stuff” than velocity and spin rate. Having multiple pitches, being able to hit spots at will with those pitches, and pitching inside and out all qualify as amazing “stuff”.

That place with the chicken drop in Slidell was called Salt Bayou Lounge, and Katrina took it out.

re: Are guitar lessons worth the money?

In your case, I would say it is not worth using up a large portion of your money. Like someone else mentioned, there are so many other options for less money. Find the music you like and explore it in all the different media you can. Start to search on what makes whatever song you like work. You learn theory while you are investigating and having fun.

As you dive into what you like at the present moment, other music will begin to find its way into the picture. It may be a link or perhaps a reference to the technique of someone you don’t know anything about. One way or the other, you will begin to branch out. You will begin to delve into things that are foreign to your ears and fingers and in order to solve their riddle your technique will improve.

Most importantly you will discover that there are always musicians around that know something you don’t. Always be humble and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Always try to play with better players if you can. Taking lessons for 60 bucks a half hour may come down the line. When it does you will know it’s the right call. You won’t need to ask anyone’s opinion.

Faith No More’s “Angel Dust”.

I also prefer it over Ten or Nevermind. I like when that album gets a shout out.

Yeah, man! I respect those other albums for their greatness and I don’t let their popularity or airplay influence it in a negative way. When I heard Angel Dust though, it just hit me in a different way. I love the sound of the recording and the way it is layered. The musicianship is of a very high quality, and has a perfect balance of groove and melody. The lyrics are original, expertly crafted and even sometimes profound. The lyrical quality of Everything’s Ruined, Smaller and Smaller, Malpractice and Midlife Crisis come to mind.
I saw Faith No More in January of 93 at Tipitina’s in New Orleans and it was an amazing show.
Ten is a great album as is Nevermind. Both of those get mentioned as probably the best of the 90s with good reason. For me though, my own personal favorite album of the 90s and one of my favorites of all time is Faith No More’s “Angel Dust”. Not as commercially appealing as the other two, but a complete masterpiece to my ears. I find Angel Dust to be a much richer, interesting album both sonically and conceptually than Ten or Nevermind. That went for back then and now. That’s just my opinion, so take it for what it’s worth…

*edited to say ONE OF my favorite albums of all time.

Tried myself, in the school of affliction, by the loss of every form of connection which can rive the human heart, I know well, and feel what you have lost, what you have suffered, are suffering, and have yet to endure. the same trials have taught me that, for ills so immeasurable, time and silence are the only medecines. I will not therefore, by useless condolances, open afresh the sluices of your grief nor, altho’ mingling sincerely my tears with yours, will I say a word more, where words are vain, but that it is of some comfort to us both that the term is not very distant at which we are to deposit, in the same cerement, our sorrows and suffering bodies, and to ascend in essence to an ecstatic meeting with the friends we have loved & lost and whom we shall still love and never lose again. God bless you and support you under your heavy affliction.

Nah, man it’s been around. First time I think I remember seeing it was when Miles brought Billy Gonzalez on as wr coach and passing game coordinator in 2009 or so

Coach, did you coach one of LSU’s running backs from our recent past in high school and help him and his family through the recruiting process?

I think Clemson blitzes every play, counting on the athleticism and speed of the D-backs to make plays

That would be foolhardy and idiotic. Although I wish they were, I doubt they are that stupid.

Gonna watch the broadcast with Chris Blair & Co on SEC Network or the normal TV broadcast?

I didn’t realize that was an option. I would rather listen to Chris Blair. Are the camera setups on both channels the same? If they are the same video feed then the SEC network is a no brainer for me...
Tell him it felt like you were about to have sex with a perfect 10 for the seventh time, but her dad interrupted. You aren't worried though because her parents went out of town and she wants the seventh time
real bad sometime between Monday and Wednesday!
" Well, it started as 1-13, went to a 3-1, then a 6-1 which turned into a ticket to the National Championship finals. I guess I'd give it a 10 on the Richter Scale, you fricktard!"

Make a stencil that outlines letters. Cover everything else and use a high quality spray paint

White helmet looks good. You need to figure out a way to make letters look better on the purple helmet though. It looks great except for that!
I'm in Fremont Nebraska for work for the next 10 days! It's about 30 minutes from stadium. I will definitely be at this weekends game. Any suggestions?
