If you've seen him play he's the ultimate sleeper (only because of his height). He's 5'8 and played MLB and FB (started) for the 2 years at a AAAA GA powerhouse. As a Sophomore at another school (AAA St. Pius) he ran for a 1000 and had 200 tackles...He's ran for at least 1000 in his junior and and senior seasons (1300 I think this year) while adding on 120+ tackles each year.

Those two years at Pius (my alma mater), the school was actually AAAA, and so those stats look a little bit more impressive.

Which site are you looking as?

I hesitate to criticize other coaches of running up the score, as I can definitely see CPJ holding a grudge towards a team and doing such a thing in the future.

As for the , I could sure use one. Stupid Falcons.

So in other words..the majority of GT fans aren't really fans?

Of course not. My point is that of the Tech fans I have talked to, very few could give a crap less what happened in the fourth quarter. I still haven't even seen the fake punt.

We got our butts kicked. Whining about a decision like that is stupid.

Don't like the fact that Miles decided to fake punt up by 35 points? Then don't get down by 35 points. Simple as that.

In all fairness and in defense of Georgia Tech, the views of a few do not necessarily represent the views of the majority.

I am sure that I could go through this board and find a few threads that make LSU look "clueless" or ignorant or classless, but that does not extend to the entire fan base.

The majority of Tech fans left before the fourth quarter because the game was so bad, and couldn't care less what happened in the final 15 minutes.
There are two problems I have with this:

The potential for a conference dominating the final 16. Using this years final BCS standings and the format on the site, the Big 12 would have had 4 teams out of the final 16 (OU, Mizzou, UT, TT).

The other is the benefit of being a third seed in a conference. For argument's sake, pretend Ole Miss was high enough to pick up one of the 4 at large bids. There is the chance that they would play a team like Texas Tech, or even better, Boise State in the round of 16. Who does the SECW Champ play in the round of 16? Florida. Obviously a better matchup for the team that didn't win it's own division, let alone conference.

For those fans that were in Atlanta or were at the game, how was your experience? The whole week, the game experience, city, etc...

And how did Tech fans treat y'all?

Just curious. I hope the the city of Atlanta and Georgia Tech were good hosts and that y'all enjoyed it.
Point of information...the triple option is one play in the offense. There are a few slight variations and looks, but it is just one play.

The name of our offense is "option-based spread offense."
As a Tech fan, I can't wait to see what CPJ can do mixing the two offenses.

Even if I hated Tech, I would still be interested to see what he turns out.

Congrats on the win...But Tech is an absolute joke this year, I wouldn't run with the victory too far.

Coach Paul Hewitt is on the clock. He has a season and a half until he is shown the door.
Just out of curiosity, how do y'all think the ACC will do? 10 games...could be a great postseason, and could be a horrible too...

Georgia Tech vs. LSU
NC State vs. Rutgers
Clemson vs. Nebraska
Virginia Tech vs. Cincinnati
UNC vs. West Virginia
Florida State vs. Wisconsin
Miami vs. Cal
Wake Forest vs. Navy
Boston College vs. Vanderbilt
Maryland vs. Nevada
Clemson and Texas should be in this discussion...

We completed a grand total of 1 pass in Athens, and it was the first play of the game.

So what? Didn't they almost lose to Gardner-Webb? UNC smoked these fools too.

Almost only counts in...oh crap, what's that saying?

What's that say when preseason #1 loses, at home, to the preseason #80 team, with a rookie coach running a high school offense that almost lost to GW?

Spoken like a true Bama fan. When was the last one?

What gave it away? The Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket logo next to my name?

And your answer is 1990. Still more recent than that school in Athens.
GT has more national championships?

This wins my award for best thread ever.

Well done guys.

Gtech should be ashamed if it only needs to ask for 2000 more.

all 35,000 or so you say go to home games should be going here too.

we have 93,000, about 65% would still go to game if it was in new orleans......

That's people who bought tickets directly through Tech.

Honestly think that Tech fans aren't buying tickets from other sources?

Don't forget 2 HORRIBLE personal foul calls back to back to let VT drive the field for the go ahead FG

The helmet to helmet on Cooper was terrible. There is more contact than that in every single play. Don't call that back, and we have the ball with 5 minutes left. Call it, first down VT, and they drive down for the winning FG.

We lost in the third game of the season, with a mostly underclassmen team, in its first real intimidating road game. A few bad turnovers killed us...
