We'll never know. The Refs didn't give us the chance to win the game. It's not Bama's fault but for you or any other Bama fan to come here and try to justify it, says that you know it was fricked up.

If it were the type of call that could go either way, most Alabama fans, and really anybody who isn't a fan of LSU, would be saying its too close to overturn. But the fact of the matter is most fans I talk to from both sides say it was, without a doubt, a bad call. This leads me to believe there is little justification for the "JJ touched it first" or "he didn't have possession when his foot dragged" arguments.

The refs messed up, plain and simple.

A picture might go a ways to disproving it after the fact, but it doesn't prove that there was incontrovertible video evidence that Julio didn't touch the ball. If you're saying that the video footage proves WITHOUT QUESTION that JJ's hand didn't touch the ball... then either you're not being entirely honest with yourself or you have a different video reel than I do. If the ref saw his hand touch the ball then I don't think there's enough video evidence to reverse that. If he says PP landed out of bounds then I think there IS enough video evidence to reverse it.

There IS enough evidence to prove JJ didn't touch the ball before Peterson. I can see that on YouTube HD on my 10" netbook. JJ's hands are NOT in front of Petersons.

YouTube HD

Something tells me the replay official f'ed up.

Either way, I've been a college fan for more than a weekend so I've lived through much worse calls than this in this rivalry.

IMO this bad call is in a league of its own. We are talking about two teams in contention for a national title as the clock drains away. Which other call had this much riding on its outcome? I don't remember seeing countless articles written about any other call.

Sometimes the breaks go your way, sometimes they don't. Accept responsibility for the win/loss (regardless of the breaks) and move on. The Tigers played a great game! It just didn't go our way.
Apples to oranges.

The difference between a 10 yard penalty and giving the ball to the wrong team are not on the same level.

LSU is overrated! At least SC doesn't give up 50 points at home to our conference foes. Or have the refs make tackles for the defense like in the South Carolina game.

I think the funny thing here is that LSU is defending the SEC pride against the worst team in the PAC 10. Can you imagine what Oregon St would do to that defense

quote:

Nope, just your coach....zero respect for him as a man, without that a man is nothing. Payback is a bitch, many LSU fans thought Les's comments about the PAC-10 was funny...how funny do you think it is now when you barely beat the PAC-10 basement dweller?

quote:

Of course you don't understand, your freakin conference is like a bad Tennessee Willilams soap opera, and all the queens love the bad drama.

quote:

lsu couldn't contend in the pac-10... if the SEC wanted, there could be annual games between the top teams in each conference, but then there would be no great hype for the bcs national championship game... well we shall see what the records reveal at the end of the season.

LSU and apparently Les Miles and John Chavis, were looking ahead to a brutal SEC opener against VANDERBILT! You know, one of those powerful SEC teams that plays all world D. Knowing it had an upcoming SEC battle, LSU didn't game plan for UDub. You can't beat a super SEC team without at least 2 weeks of preparation. Please be fair to the Tigers.

Yeah, USC is not nearly as talented as LSWho. You know, all those Heismans and stuff like that, all the rankings by Scout/Rivals, etc., what does that mean exactly? As long as Naughty Kitty on his skateboard says so, it must be true.

The desire to harm Tulane and the unfiltered greed of the LSU leadership is beyond debate.
:rotflmao:

Why would anyone pass up a chance at a nationally televised game against an ACC opponent for Tulane?

Yet, and now back to the "fans," any action-- no matter how egregious, illegal, or unethical-- that enhances the athletic program, can be excused and even praised.

Illegal and unethical?

I originally liked the idea of playing them home and away in football but I must not have been thinking straight. We should have NOTHING to do with them in any sport or any activity.

Their boards are no fun.....they get all serious and pissy if you say the wrong thing

It's kind of funny that us "inbreds" have a website that requires post 1993 technology - unlike the udub hipsters

Are you one of those guys who makes inferences about an entire region based on a sample of rantards
Hey broseph, sorry you missed it. The correct answer was OT Lounge.

would be nice, but we'll be fine without them. I want to see those crossbeams next to the suites gone first.

Need Help w/ Mutual Fund

Posted by KreweofPegasus on 6/24/09 at 12:34 pm
I'm looking at investing in a fund with heavy holdings in copper, aluminum and zinc.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

TIA
Can you spot the difference?

Thank you for your message. If I can stop one person from going through what ole Bill did then I'll be happy.

By your logic, we should never do anything potentially dangerous, I mean, it could kill you.

One idiot does something stupid while on shrooms and drinking and somehow drinking is now completely irresponsible in all contexts. No offense, but that is lunacy. You can't just take the moral high ground here and expect anyone to take you seriously. I have known people to drink to their deaths, but it doesn't stop me from being a responsible drinker.

BTW I agree that some people really shouldn't drink because they really don't handle themselves well, but it is ridiculous that you would tattle on someone for being inebriated and having fun watching our tigers. Your "holier than thou" approach to setting them right isn't doing anything helpful at all.

Sorry for the rant.

Peace.

I am unsure whether TIPS use standard CPI or core CPI in determining the inflation level. Anyone know for sure which one?
