Florida is being hosed - this game is being called like ours was. Bama's DBs grabbing / holding / jumping on the backs of defenders...no flags. Just saw a blatant heads to the face from the same guy that got Hitt ( or least same general position )...no flag. Bama o-line leading all players in tackles...no flags. Bama WRs pushing off...no flags. A few BS calls on Florida for phantom holds on offense and defense.

Bama boosters are in full force once again!

Hester - credited Saban
 Do you not own the 'Heart of Geauld' DVD? Hester is the one who presented Miles with the game ball after the Bama game and credited Miles.
I wish there was someway they could both lose - maybe no one ever scores and they go into so many overtimes they finally call it a tie? But if a team has to win, I hope its Florida...not only do I respect them, but if LSU no longer existed, I'd pull for them. Bama...I just want Bama to 'not exist any more'...
I go with the one that wants to be here. If they don't want to be an LSU Tiger, then they want to be tigerbait.

It would have been a bigger travesty had they called holding on that play imo.
Yeah, cus getting the call right instead of awarding a win to a team that didn't earn it within the rules of the game is such a travesty. Go back to Iowa you and kill yourself.
Penn St shouldn't even be mentioned in a sentence with LSU. The type of season we complain about ( ie. this year ) is the season they have almost every year - a mediocre 'good' record with no chance at a national title or one of the four big bowl games. What have they done this decade other than one season of being mentioned nationaly, which they choked on and spit out. As bad as we've been this year, there is no team in the Big 10(11) with enough athletes to play a game of marbles against us, much less football.

It's not coaching or anything like that with him. He must be let go, though.
I keep seeing this, but with no 'rest of the story' - did he sleep with someone's wife or something? Hell email it to me if you don't want to post it please! ( theghost_and_thedarkness@yahoo.com )
I don't get off of work till 6pm, home by 7pm...I should have called in sick...

The dude is 73 yrs old now...I can't remember who he coached under. Was it Curly or Dinardo?
Dinardo and one of the biggest douches to ever step foot on a football field. Morris would talk crap about players he didn't like / personally go after and had his mind made up as to 'who was who' without anyone ever taking a snap. And don't get me started on his playbook; I think it was featured in that movie 'The Comebacks'.
I think the thing that is giving folks such a hard time is that recently, each season, LSU is on the brink of being really good or mediocre / bad. Every team has close games; closer than they should be, lose games they shouldn't, etc, but look at this season alone for LSU:

Washington, La Tech, Miss St, UGA, Arkansas
Bama, Ole Miss

5 games LSU won that were closer than they should have been.

2 games LSU should have won, one by their own hand and another thanks to refs.

'One play' or >< close to being 4-8.
'One play' or >< close to being 11-1.

Or to be fair, since La Tech and Washington really weren't ever as close as the score indicated:

'One play' or >< close to being 6-6.
'One play' or >< close to being 11-1.

Every team has 'those' kind of games, LSU just seems to have a hell of a lot more of them. Being >< that close to a title contender and at the same time, >< that close to a .500 team is akin to sexual frustration; LSU football has given us blue - no, purple - balls. Hell, I'm ready for next year already - hopefully we all get laid ( ie NCG )!
The correct answer is:

1. UF
2 crystals, possible 3rd, plays in the toughest BCS conference.

2. LSU
2 crystals, undefeated in BCS bowls, plays in the toughest BCS conference.

3. USC
1 crystal, 1 ap, good BCS bowl record, plays in a weak conference.

4. Texas
1 crystal, possible 2nd, plays in a decent BCS conference.

5. Oklahoma
1 crystal, 4 NCG appearances, plays in a decent BCS conference.

6. Ohio St
1 crystal, 3 NCG appearances, .500 BCS bowl team, mid-to-weak BCS conference.

If Texas wins a crystal this year, they jump USC, but that's it. Cake-walk conference schedules that pad win percentages can't compete when comparing to teams performing well in a conference two tiers above the next.
If that's the case TigerNAtux, then isn't the entire Recruiting Board in violation of that policy?

Why are threads being removed?

Posted by RelocatedPelican on 11/24/09 at 4:18 pm
In the rant and coaches changes board, threads on rumors of the offensive staff are being removed; why? Is it somehow against this forums rules to discuss what folks are saying is happening to our coaching staff? Or is this some kind of 'stick your head in the sand' ridiculous 'image' thing?
frick people - unless he is a prodigy, he is NOT a kid! Get that shite through your thick heads already... damn liberals...

We've had the more stable coaching situation of the 2.

I think most would agree that we currently have as good if not better talent on the field.

We've had damn near as highly ranked recruiting classes.

However we've lost to UF, BAMA, and ARKY 2 years in row. God forbid we lose this weekend and we have to add another team to that list.

All the while they are going for their second undefeated SEC regular season something I'm not sure if we've ever done.

What could it be?
Are you a Gump incognito?

With JL serving up two pick sixes in regulation, it still took Bama another JL interception in overtime to beat us last year. LSU was beating Bama most of the game this year, despite the refs, but in the end - with injuries mind you - the refs & Bama were too much.

LSU >>> Bama

Get over yourself Gump - Bama ain't all that.
If he wants to continue playing, transfer. He could get a fresh start somewhere else; at LSU, he'll always have his past performance hanging over him. It didn't work out for him here and a change can do wonders for a person.

I don't mind when he gives a 'politically correct' statement that says someone didn't perform well ( ex. room for improvement, work in progress, etc ) but to blatantly lie or worse - really believe that the player performed well - disgusts me. Man, I jumped on the Miles bandwagon pretty hard, but the way he is handling things this season makes me want to jump out of a moving car.
Eric Norwood would rock; he's a playmaker.
WTF did we get so many vaginas for fans? "Boohoo don't boo the 'college kid'". The moment you say 'college kid', unless you're talking about a prodigy, you're an idiot. These players are adults playing big time ball for a big time program. If they can't nut up and expect criticism, then they can GTFO. I was a college player, my youngest brother is a college player - it comes with the job. Deal.

The entire Raiders receiving core made "C'mon man!" this past Monday night. Even those analyst who are always on JR said as much as they felt sorry for him shouldering the blame. Calling JR a bust while he is on the Raiders is like saying Archie sucked because the Saints were so bad.
Crowton refuses to use his player's strenghts. How many times have we seen:

1. The 'speed' option with TH / RS at pitch back ran to the short side of the field?

2. CS running an off tackle from the shotgun across the formation, where he has to move laterally more than going downhill.

3. Fade routes, or lack thereof, to our tall WRs.

4. No 3 step drop play action slants.

5. Spot passes so our WRs have to stand still and wait on the ball rather than a bubble screen or regular routes.

6. Something works, then disappears from the gameplan.

And the list goes on...

And when it comes to QB's reading their progressions, it is my belief that Crowton doesn't give them a progression, but rather instructs them to 'throw it to this guy' ( see Jefferson's quote in regards to the UGA game when CS broke the winning TD run - Crowton called a pass and told him to throw it to Lafell ). This would explain some of JL's tendency to throw pick-6s and JJ's tendency to take a sack - if 'the guy' ain't open, JL forces while JJ holds onto the ball ( see JL's first pick-6 last year vs Auburn; he pumped then threw the ball anyway, almost like he was thinking 'man this is gonna suck'... ).

And don't even get me started on the meerkat offense...
