New mower possibly a standup
Posted by thedogman on 4/14/25 at 12:48 pm
I am having to bite the bullet and buy a new mower. I was looking today and in one of the shops they had a brand new standup Encore 60". He said he'd do $5500 cash on it and it threw me off because I wasn't looking for a standup. I don't know anything about Encores. Does anyone here have any experience with them? TIA

Is this the same bitch that was being very mouthy just last week about Tariffs?? We should ghost the EU and let them feel the pain. It's the same thing with Canada, whenever their newly unelected "badass" realizes he was wrong.

How many people would it take to stop paying income tax before the govt bent the knee

In light of all of the BS coming out about where our taxes go, how many people would it take to stop paying income tax before the government bent the knee?
I like the most of you have known this shite was going on but with it out in the air I feel like now would be the time to organize and quit sending funds in. Our ancestors overthrew a government for like a 3% increase on taxes.
Now we pay over 50% of our income, when you add up income tax, property tax, sales tax, realized gains tax, death tax, on and on and on. We are not free, we are tax slaves and we are left with crumbs after the government gets its 10lbs of flesh. Our Lord and Savior asks for 10% so who the F is our government to demand more???  :banghead:

Holding water and the right drainage ratio is critical....They like about 10 acres of runoff for every 1 acre of pond surface area to keep the pond fed with fresh water after rains.
This might answer my question. I don’t have 10 acres of run off. The soils holds water now in certain spots and I’d have testing done to ensure it would hold. Runoff may be the issue though. Thank you

I have a couple of acres behind my house and it’s in a very low area. I’ve been kicking around the idea of putting a pond in but wasn’t sure if 2 acres was big enough to do one on. Plus I wouldn’t/couldn’t do the full two acres. Use would be something aesthetic to look at and place for dogs to swim. Maybe some fish but wouldn’t be a deal killer if no fish. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

My letter that ChatGPT wrote. So I guess ChatGPTS letter
Dear Senator Cassidy,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment in your continued abandonment of the conservative principles you once claimed to uphold. Your decision not to support Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Health Secretary is yet another example of your complete sellout to the establishment, a move that places you squarely in alignment with the Democratic Party’s agenda.
Given your track record, I urge you to make it official and change your party affiliation to Democrat. At this point, it’s clear that your priorities and values are far more in line with their platform than with the Republican voters who put you in office. Your actions have left conservatives in Louisiana feeling betrayed, and nothing would please me and many others more than to see you voted out in 2026.
I hope you will reflect on the choices you have made and recognize the disappointment you have caused among your constituents. Louisiana deserves a senator who stands firm on conservative principles, not one who caves to the political elite at every turn.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

What is your go-to meal

If you are the only one eating? There are a couple of nights a week where my kids and wife are gone with activities during dinner. I don't want to cook a meal for myself but I am looking for new ideas for something quick and good. TIA

I have a French press now and looking to get something else. Would like something I can set to make in the morning to automatically brew. Not sure if I want a bean grinder on it or not. TIA

I am a registered D but have always voted R. I did this thinking I could primary vote for who I wanted us to run against and have never changed it. Plus I get spam text from D campaigns and I can screw with them.

Does anyone here have a robot lawnmower? I am about to move and was thinking of getting one, but I wasn't sure if they were reliable.

Congrats.
Generally speaking, this is my point. It's BS but I got one because you are "supposed" to. Not once has my BS college degree gotten me a job. I've been in the same field of work for about 20 years. My point being I make a decent living and owe none of it to my "degree". I don't believe it to be a requirement like it was in the past.
