I disagree - I think the the line of scrimmage, the down, is what made football into not-Rugby at least. that was the fundamental change, the idea that one team would have undisputed possession of the ball. It was certainly not modern football until the forward pass became leagl - but it was definitely not rugby starting in 1882 with the invention of the down.

College football changed more between the years of 1905 and 1914, than it has since that time.

I believe the biggest change since 1914 is the 2 point conversion, introduced I think to start the 1958 season. (LSU's champ year)

It would be interesting to see an exhibition game played under an older set of rules.

Didn't you only have to go 5 yards in 3 downs in those days?

what if you got a degree from different schools?

What if? I don't see how that changes the rule. You can't have two teams in the SEC. You can have one team that you hate the least - but you cannot be a fan of two schools. Period.

For some reason the gumps like to think they can break this rule - you can't gumps. everyone knows that a Bamma fan who pretends to have LSU as a 2nd favorite is either a patronizing prick or a bandwagoner (depending on which team is doing better that season).

That's generally how most people write. We're not all as eloquent as Bammers.

We call that being a fair weather fan loser. This it the SEC. You can't have two teams from different schools. Unless you're a douche.

This is some fuuny shite. A entire thread dedicated to Neck alcoholics/addicts and their enablers. Bunch of cretins that think all this crape'is cool. Reminds me of something I'd expect to see on one of the Bammergumpneanderneck boards......

What is a "Neck" alcoholic and why are you such a douchebag loser?

Why is there always that very tiny but vocal minority of "Tiger Fans" who apparently have yet to realize that practically everyone in Tiger Stadium is either a) hammered out of their minds or b) would be hammered out of their minds if they didn't have to drive and/or didn't have their kids with them and/or used to get hammered out of their minds but are too old to handle the booze anymore?

How else could I take it... you busted my chops.

Its good to beat the gumps at something this football season. I've proven that I know LSU's losses better than you do.

wait,,,,, you had an edit

Yeah - but I already quoted you - you can't edit my post. I win.
For a gump you sure take being told you're wrong pretty well.

i think regardless of what happens, 2 SEC teams will be in the BCS.

For the 3rd year in a row - that's no big surprise - this is the SEC. The addition of a separate NC game practically guarantees two SEC teams in the BCS.

I saw Ole Miss, Florida and Troy kick almost everyone out of the TS by the start of the 4th.

Yeah - Deaf McGruff saw people leaving Tiger Stadium when LSU played Florida this year. That's how fricking retarded he his.

Let's say Auburn beats Alabama, and then Alabama loses to Florida... would that drop them to Capitol One and then move everyone else down 1 spot, dropping us to the Independence or Music City?

That's two pluses.

1) Misery for the gumps. Nothing like seeing a gump that thought their team would go all the way only to have it yanked out from under them.

2) A bowl we can win.

Who here has been ejected from Tiger Stadium?
I got tossed in the first game of the Saban era for tossing a miniature football back and forth with another dude two rows down. (Gasp!)

Happily it was late in the 4th and we were up by 50.

And to think - they let morons throw beach balls when we're down by 7 points to Ole Piss in the 1st quarter. What's with these idiots? Don't they understand tossing beach balls is reserved for when you're murderating someone?

The next week, I get a phone call from our Advocacy and Accountability Office ( our discliplinary office) which relayed to me that I was being charged with 5 things. (1) Public Intoxication, (2) Being intoxicated in TS, (3) Trying to sneak alcohol into TS, (4) Resisting arrest and (5) Underage drinking ( which I am 23 btw). All of these were fricking bullshite and I didn't commit any of them, but fotunately I walked away with getting the charges dropped. I know this story is not as good as the majority of the others, but just goes to show you how big of dueschbags some people are!!!

They tried to make me do 8 hours of community service once for having a girl in my dorm room past curfew. That's when I was a sophomore. I never did the service and graduated anyway. frick them.

Hells yeah!! We've gone every year since the mid 90's. It's a great trip.

Will it be easy to score tickets? I know both these teams are kinda in the dumps right now but its a pretty small stadium, no?
