The band was from the Erath area. The guy he was introduced to was my dad. Been knowing Trace since 1985. He was painfully shy at the beginning but quickly adjusted. They won the first round of the Wild Turkey Battle of the Bands at the Last Roundup in Duson. Then they won the regional round in Dallas Texas. Finally they came in third in the national final in Nashville. They toured the Texas/Oklahoma/New Mexico area for the next 1-2 years.
The most impressive part of the defense was their tackling. That reminded me of our defenses of the past.

Announcers stated that he needs to develop elite speed. He looks like he has plenty of speed to me. Looks good on kickoffs returns also.
