WHARTON COUNTY, Texas — Bull rider Dylan Grant chased 8 seconds of glory every chance he got at rodeos across Texas and the U.S.

Last night's ride in Wharton, Texas, north of Houston, started like all the others with Grant's adrenaline pumping and the crowd cheering. Then, something went terribly wrong.

Grant, 24, was trampled by a bull named Commander after getting bucked off in the second round of the Wharton County Youth Fair Extreme Bulls event Thursday night.

From the New York Post:

The United States Supreme Court rejected a last-ditch effort to block Hoffman’s execution in a 5-4 vote just moments before he was put to death. Hoffman’s lawyers argued that breathing the nitrogen gas would violate his religious freedom.

Justices Sonia Sotomayer, Elena Kagan, Ketanji Brown Jackson and Neil Gorsuch were the dissenting votes.

I have been steadfast in noting how young we are.

Fair point. So exactly when do we no longer consider the current collection of players "young"?
Inept. That's about the extent of it. Sanchez is not Premier League quality.

We went from being in position to win the league, to now fighting for dear life to gain a Champions League berth.
Sign Zeke for one week. LOL! :nana:

Hopefully, it will be today (11/25). I better make sure that the lawn tractor battery has some juice. I haven't mowed in a few weeks.

re: Are artificial x-mas tree worth buying?

Posted by MUMFORD on 11/14/24 at 10:43 am
Simple answer, "YES". Bought a very nice 8-ft unlit "full" (75" wide) artificial tree about 15 years ago. Purchased it online after Christmas at a discount. Was nice not having to shell out $100-$150+ each year on a new tree.

The artificial tree was really starting to show it's age, so I decided to get rid of it 2 year ago. I assumed that I would be able to find a comparable tree with no problem. Sadly, I can't find a comparable 8-ft full artificial tree even after conducting an extensive search on-line. We did bite the bullet last year and bought a nice real tree. I really don't want to do the real tree thing again this year, but most artificial trees today have a Slim profile (which we don't want). Oh well.
Have had a Speed Queen Washer since 2017 and a Speed Queen gas Dryer since 2021. Other than a minor issue on the washer that was covered under warranty, I've had no problems and have been completely satisfied

Wasn't Herm Edwards dismissed on the field immediately after Arizona St. lost to Eastern Michigan?

I would not object to a similar approach being used tonight.

As someone who has had surgery to repair a torn meniscus, I'm not surprised. I wondered why there was even talk right after the diagnosis of a possible return this season.

We just can't catch a break health-wise. :banghead:
