re: Jameis Winston on why he came back

Playing him injured was poor coaching. He was not the best chance to win games. By the time the medical staff and coaches figured it out, the season was over
I don't care if he stays as a backup. But make no mistake, Winston did nothing at all and looked horribly at every phase of the position.
re: Losing is one thing. But to be so unprepared and poorly coached is startling & concerning.

Children who are upset about the loss need to have something to blame and lash out by saying childish things. CHILL OUT. Use common sense and wait to see how it plays out. If damn extra point is made and we win the game, most of the negativity wouldbt be here. I'm still incredibly proud that we scored the last touchdown. We haven't had a coach in quite a while that could've orchestrated that.

9 months. The new staff has been here 9 months. Not 9 days or 9 weeks, but 9 months.
This is maybe the dumbest thing I've read. How many games were played in those 9 months? Moronic.

Yes, let's fire the new coach after one game. It's obvious that it's Kelly's fault for complete destruction of the program the last two years. How dare he lose this game.
People it's one game. I don't care what any other team did or what those teams' circumstances are. It's one game. It's one game. It's one game. If there is no improvement through a full season, that would be different. But imo, it would still be premature to call for the man's head. It didn't help that we played a big program at a neutral site for this game. Nobodys fault but having the traditional warm up game or two would've been much better way to start with all the new components. That way moronic fans would be placated.

This is all stupid. Purely tactics by Payton agency in extension discussions.

What has caused people to start hating on and doubting Marcus davenport? I thought he played great at times last year. Besides roster moves, Ive purposefully avoided everything NFL related since the rams game so I was wondering whether I missed something on Davenport

Good grief, I hope the contract gives the Saints an out after the first year. Otherwise, this is the latest Mickey Loomis future dead money signing. Absolutely reactionary and completely abysmal. A bad player coming off a horrible injury history signed to a big money deal. The Saints front office does so well most of the time but they always seem to make one or two bone headed decisions that haunt them for years
LOL. Wtf. What in the world are u looking at to suggest he's a "bad player". That is plain ignorance. Injuries are a valid concern but saying he's a bad football player is fricking stupid.
re: Michael Thomas just murdered Reggie Bush on Twitter

Anyone in this thread making a big deal out of this is fricking stupid. Especially the ones who are knocking his actual ability as a football player and saying they wouldn't re-sign him. Anyone who doubts his ability is either a troll or u have special needs. Not only did he lead the league in receptions in a season where Drew threw for about 1500 yards less than most seasons, he broke saints record for most yards and did that without an elite tightend and without a real #2 receiver. Even more impressively, he caught the ball 85% of the time he was targeted, which was third best this season. Oh and guess what, out of the top 25 guys with the best catch ratio this season, only 3 of them were wide receivers. The others were Ryan Switzer at 8th with only 36 receptions, Tyler locket at 14th with 61 receptions, and Phillip Dorsett at 24th with 32 receptions. The rest are running backs and a couple tight ends. None of the other 3 WRs even had half of the receptions MT had yet MT was able to lead the fricking league in receptions while keeping that ratio that high. Unlike Antonio brown and OBJ and a host of others, MT is not a locker room distraction and hasnt given us any reason to question his loyalty to team or anything else. He does need to get off of Twitter and stop saying dumb shite. To everyone else, frick u.

Please bring the bat. I was in the dome the night we beat the Cardinals. We had brought deuce back for that game if memory serves. I remember Reggie being so amped up that he ran out with the bat prematurely. Lol. Not sure how I drove home that night becuz I my vision was more impaired than Warner.

re: Those excited to get Philly

People need to stop letting their fears of losing affect their rationality. I have to remind myself of the same thing becuz we are so anxious for the game, we start to overthink things. Step back for a moment and think objectively and pretend you are not a Saints fan or an eagles fan, and that you are just a regular football fan somewhere else in the country. If you were detached emotionally and you had to pick the winner for the Saints and Eagles, would u even bat your eye for one second before picking the Saints? No. You wouldnt give it any thought before picking the saints at home in the super down. But the fact of the matter is that none of that shite matters anyway becuz all these games are decided on unforeseen events during the game. Which team turns the ball over? Which team gets the calls on those close challenges that could go either way. Which team misses 40 yard field goals. Which team commits the most stupid penalties. Dropped passes, tipped balls, blown assignments, poor clock management. That's what will decide the game. Not whether Philly has a four game win streak or that Jason Peters says dumb shite to the media, or the fact that Darren sproles and malcom used to play for the saints. I have complete faith in Drew and Payton at this point, and I truly believe we are the best team this year, and trust that Brees will lead the team. I also believe our fans in the super dome on a late Sunday afternoon game is gonna play a huge part. Have faith. The Eagles are ranked 31st this season in time of Possession, and they are playing Drew Brees in the super dome. Brees will have a bunch of opportunities and will exploit that defense. And if we lose, then frick it. At least it wasn't to the Cowboys.
re: Rex Ryan Says Rams or Saints Will Get Hard Knocks
Posted by bigcobra on 3/22/16 at 11:55 am
I wonder if that was friendly inside jab at Payton because he knows there's no way Payton would agree to Hard Knocks. I think I recall him actually saying we would never do it a couple years ago. Idk.
re: Snead is more of a lock than Coleman
Posted by bigcobra on 8/31/15 at 3:12 pm
There is no denying Snead's talent. He is a natural receiver and will achieve success at this level if he is given a real chance. I will be extremely disappointed if he is not a Saint. But given our lack of depth at the position, I think Payton will make his selections based more on what they have done on a daily basis at practice. I mean, how many series has Brees played this preseason? Maybe 4. I have a feeling Coleman, Joe, and Hill have more catches if Brees played more. With regards to Coleman, he has way too much upside and the Saints have invested way too much time to not see what he can do during the regular season. At least I hope so. His size should give him an advantage with all other things equal. As long as those two make team and Toon doesn't, I'm a happy camper.
re: CJ Spiller Getting Surgery?

Scoping a knee is not too too big a deal really. But I really hope he takes his rehab seriously to avoid any setbacks. And hopefully his nose is in the playbook. But there's no way he would be returning kicks

Damn. Ur right. I should have done that cuz I didn't want him getting anymore attention. WIll have to remember that if some other idiot writes a dumb article. I understand Skip Bayless and those guys being trolls because tv is different form of media and makes for better television. But for articles, I for one wouldn't purposely do this shite to avoid being perceived as a troll. I know I will never read an article with his name on it because I can't trust it.

Never heard of the author of this amazingly stupid article, and I don't care what he thinks. But it makes me wonder if he really believes that Brees is not in the top ten quarterbacks in the league. And if he does really believe that, how did he manage to get a job being so ignorant. I know people will say these writers do this on purpose to get more comments. And that's probably true to a degree. But I would like to think they have some integrity. Amazes me when I see something like this. The only reason I clicked on the article to see where they had Brees ranked. I lmao when I realized they actually left him off the list entirely.

Appears Lelito is the front runner. I saw an interesting quote from Strief. Summarizing, he said Peat is going to take my job, the question is when. My job is to keep it as long as possible.

Good. I hope Unger was exaggerating or misleading. But I'm very interested to see what our starting Oline will look like in week one. It would just seem odd to move a young guy like Armstead away from LT unless they don't see him there past his first contract. I'd love to see him on the left and Peat on the right with Strief as a swingman/6th man.
