I thought we were sending the Soul Plane?

Also can you have a contract signed but dated post playoffs
I thought about that, but would he be able to hire a staff before the LSU contract takes effect? If he could, he could have them recruit while he is coaching OM.
Maybe he wants advice on how to handle the situation so he is reaching out to Nick and Pete. He wants to coach OM for the rest of the year and LSU next year. Or maybe he wants to make OM fire him so they look like the bad guys and he doesn't owe them any money.
What can be done to fix it? The early signing period was put in before the Transfer Portal and the 12 team playoff.

Name them then. You could say Bama, but if DeBoer is unable to keep winning like Nick, then it is the same level as LSU.

If everyone on that set said he was coming, how many viewers would they lose because people wouldn't be waiting to hear the news. They wouldn't be turning on ESPN or checking their phones. They have to keep people waiting as their viewership goes up and they make more money.
Can't believe we actually have to cheer for Bama

I was thinking the same thing.
You didnt hear? Coach O is coming. He is in charge of the binder.

leaving a team during a playoff run would be my guess.
First of all, he didn't make the NCAA schedule. If he wants a better job, it doesn't come along too often and you have to take it when you have the opportunity. Second, he wants to coach the team through the playoffs either way. It would be Ole Miss that would keep him from doing that. But of course the media is going to push a narrative. They don't want anyone to challenge their golden team, the Crimson Tide. If he wins multiple natties, they will say it was a good move.

Brian Kelly left Notre Dame in 2021 when they were 11-1 and on the fence to get into the 4 team playoff to come to LSU. It happens if you want the big opportunity when it opens.

Did you see his record when up 2 scores at half?

30+ and 0.

Yeah, we don't want that...
I know. Come on. Great coaches would be 40-0 in 30 games. Bring on Kiffin.

Burning material to stay warm as he drinks his latte at his new house in Baton Rouge
Why burn your bridges and piss off fans and players, if you planned to back? He is gone.
Now post the Bill Belicheck controversies. He is considered the greatest NFL coach of all time, despite those controversies. He was hired by UNC this year.

Rumor is OM's first choice is Jon Sumrall. Auburn and Florida are also considering Sumrall. If they dont move, Sumrall can sign somewhere else. So the longer they hold Kiffin, they could potentially hurt themselves. What do they do? They can't hire a coach as long as they have a coach.
If Kiffin comes to LSU and Sumrall moves from Tulane, there is a good chance that Blake Baker will get the Tulane job and Golding will follow Kiffin to come back home to Louisiana.
