There U.S. actually has a flag code that outlines things like this. Turns out, players kneeling during the anthem doesn't violate it....

Again, I have to keep reminding people that the National Anthem was bgun at sporting events when we entered WWI and the desired effect was stoking patriotism enough to get citizens to rally around the war effort.
To think that kneeling during the anthem is disrespectful ignores that the sacrifice...
