re: Job quitting stories?
Posted by rowbear1922 on 12/6/25 at 1:17 pm to Septiger
Not sure if this is considered quitting or getting fired, but in college I worked at 2 different restaurants. Both had their Christmas parties the same night in relatively the same area. Requested off from both weeks before and for the next morning.
I had already put my 2 weeks at one restaurant and they scheduled me the morning after the parties. I told them I wasn’t coming in (it was the last shift I was schedule for that week).
Even after it, they still put me on the next schedule. I showed up and they told I no longer worked there. Didn’t bother me any and I went home

Hence why I feel bad for him. He won a job he’s not qualified for and was left a complete shitshow. Things will get darkest before the dawn, if there is a dawn, for BR.
There will be some very hard decisions that need to be made. We will see if he sinks or swims

My B. Missed the alone at home part, thought you meant in public.
I live alone and as soon as I get home, I strip down to my boxers, put on my rob and slippers and that’s how I walk around, inside or out, until it’s time to get dressed for work again

I don’t. He’s a football coach that ran for office under the summation that he was a good leader. He’s not creative and not as honest as he thought. THRIVE is a shining example of that. He could’ve forced city leaders to go back to the drawing board instead of using emotional manipulation. A good leader does what’s right, not what’s easy.
I never said he was a good option, but he was a hell of a lot better choice than keeping the status quo and keeping Broome stick

I feel sorry for Sid. He won an election to take over a city/parish that was robbing non-city citizens to the tune of $40M annually and no longer has that slush fund.
People will blame him for the shitshow that will become BR proper when it’s not his fault

I can’t determine if that’s impressive or embarrassing. Impressive if you haven’t been arrested, embarrassing if no one noticed.

Tore my ACL and meniscus in my 20s. I remember the doc saying the meniscus could be trimmed at my age without an issue but past a certain age, I want to say 35, surgery is required if you do anything active
