Last Year in the Vikings/Saints game the ref's missed a facemask on Reggie which caused him to fumble and would have put us half a distance to the goal, so I guess we are even

this would be a win win for the Saints. The success of Brady & Cassel has to be the Pat's system. Both of them did nothing before New England, and the Buc's would give up some high picks for him. I smell a bust

How many of you remember Shawn Knight, drafted in the 1st round out of BYU in 1987. Jonathan Sullivan started more games than he did.

Classless
Hey Pete take a look at Mark Richt, He is losing alot more than you and he sat between his two stars and said good luck, knowing it's gonna be hard to replace them.

Big Time Hire!
I'm glad the Saints took LSU's lead by hiring a guy who has done this before.
With the Saints offense, we don't have to have the #1 defense. Being in the top 15 will get us where we want to be.

speaking of ed reed.. how about we run whatever defense it is that the ravens run.
They put a big time pass rush and force the QB into mistakes. Ed Reed is a Hall of Fame player but the other secondary guys are just good.
Our scheme is terrible, we ask our Corners to cover the Wide Outs for 20 to 40 yards with no pass rush or help over the top. Champ Bailey would struggle in last years Defense.

I think him and J Del Rio had some problems
I agree, Jack Del Rio is a "Defensive" coach, they butted heads all season. He wouldn't have that problem here. Payton was told yesterday that NFL teams play defense too.
I like Williams or Sean McDermit (Spell?) from Philly (We would have to wait to interview him though)

I can understand not getting the MVP because of the Saints record, But not being a pro bowl starter is unbelievable to me.
This reminds of Colt McCoy winning the Big 12 Player of the year award and not getting first team honors

You forgot UAB, Tennessee also spanked them the year the game got moved because of Sept 11th

How many out there are really shocked by this.
Clemson, Georgia, & Us that's 3 teams that didn't live up to pre-season expectations.
remember the last time Bama played in the dome, no offensive TD's
