BREAKING:
@ERCOT_ISO says most of the electric generating plants that went off-line last night were natural gas, coal or nuclear facilities that shut down.
Combined, that took more than 30,000 megawatts from the grid -- leading to the rotating outages.

But an entire media complex that lies and tries to swing elections...is perfectly fine.
Well, no... memes that lie to swing elections are perfectly fine. Memes that try to fool voters into thinking they are voting when they are not might be illegal. Personally, I don't like this though. The law this is based on does not seem appropriate for this case, IMO, but IANAL:

Did they really prevent or hinder their free exercise of their rights? They certainly didn't prevent it, and I can't really see their meme as an actual hindrance. The intent of the law seems to be for things completely different. If they want a law about election misinformation they should have to make one.

The governor is up for re-election and is going to start acting conservative. What is he going to say about Texas independence? He wants to run for President of the US. Don’t forget that.
I'm confused. How does Abbot wanting to be President of the US help Texas leave the US? Kind of hard to be president of the US when the US is suddenly a foreign country.

You guys keep firing this talk up when dems are in the WH but you'd have a better chance of getting an amicable split if someone like Trump was in charge.

Ok I read them. To be honest, I put no credence on an article from NIH.
As for penn article it is about prevention not treatment.
Any others
It's not just an article from the NIH, its a large, comprehensive randomized controlled trial they did showing no effect. That's the science. You can't just pretend it doesn't exist.
Tbh though I don't think any of you should be reading these papers yourselves. You're likely to start trying to hang people when you inevitably fail to understand what is being written. Maybe try listening to the experts?

Nobody is going to acknowledge that they were obviously wrong about this being some new thing? You guys were just talking about literally hanging people due to this misinformation...

This was published in August, and does not cite any RCTs to support the benefits of HCQ. Scientists have since discovered it is not effective. Leave the sciencing to the scientists or you'll hurt yourself baw.
re: How weird is it that LSU & Saints lost in essentially the same way?
Posted by RunningWithScissors on 1/14/18 at 7:36 pm
Yep, and both plays had the guy who missed the tackle take out the only other guy on defense who could make the saving tackle. :banghead:

Who cares about their qb, Troy's offensive line pushed our d-line 2 yards off the ball every snap. We're not going to get close against any team with a pulse.
re: Love OBJ...but peeing like a dog after a TD??

Honestly, why does anyone care? It's just clowning around, and they're not at a funeral.
re: Hannigriff "Worst loss ever"

UGA 2004 was probably worse, imo. We were defending national champs and we got completely humiliated in the biggest game of the week. UGA was a top team at the time, but I think by the end of this season you'll see people regard MSU as the 2nd best team in the west, and the loss won't look nearly as bad.
It was especially a bad loss because people were still debating over LSU vs USC from the year before, and in a lot of people's minds that game ended the debate.

Presnap movement is also about letting the qb read the defense better, not just to confuse the defense.

Has there ever been an SEC coaching stint as bad as Orgeron's was at Ole Miss? When you consider the level of talent he had to work with I'm not sure anyone has done worse. 3-21

I'd take Gundy over both of them.

Hopefully enough of you don't recover so that next time the GOP doesn't put a fricking clown up as their nominee.

Here's the good news: you lost.
re: Coach O on offensive plays in practice
Posted by RunningWithScissors on 9/29/16 at 10:50 am
Yeah but even if you can't drill the whole play theres got to be more to work on. The fact that he is shortening practice just doesn't sound right to me unless this is a temporary thing to lift spirits on the team or something.
We're going up against insane workaholics like Saban who get every second of time from their players that NCAA rules allow.

True, if I had to choose one I'd go with that. I wonder if Bama or Houston have to choose just one, though.

Why not lots of reps with attention to detail? Is there a reason we can't do that when the best teams do?
