LED Light kit above since I looked it up
I have a light kit that I rigged up that is motion activated but this appears far better,
I also keep a drirod and dehumidifier bag in mine. Need to get some rifle rods as mine looks like the left pic above.

I'm not one to buy into the "culture" type of clothes, but Skinny Water Culture SWC Hawksbill Hoodie is an awesome shirt. You can find it lots of places other than their site, sometimes for under $30. I think I bought from their site on a 50% off deal.
It has a lot of features that I like, thumbholes on cuff, hood, button collar to loosen around neck, pocket you can't feel, sunglass cleaner, and of course a hood when I don't have a hat handy. Super soft and cool. So far, stain resistant.

Look into "Gun Scrubber." It's like spray brake cleaner or carb cleaner for guns, that evaporates quickly. Doesn't include oil like many others. In a spot like you are in, I'd want to clean clean clean, then lube. Can use a copper/brass brush to assist if a toothbrush/nylon isn't doing the trick
I believe that they have two formulas (or used to); one that is plastics safe and one not.
If that doesn't work, look into how to remove cosmoline. Likely mineral spirits and heat

re: Purina Pro plan guys- are yall noticing bugs in your dog food?

That's just extra protien for em.
I buy the same food from amazon subscribe (40+ orders) and haven’t seen any bugs. I keep mine in a "Gamma2 Vittles Vault" if you are looking for a solution. I'll keep a closer eye on it.
Web says that those meal moths can be killed with a few days in a freezer

Depending on the value of the house and your parents' age and tax bracket, you may cost them more in income tax than you save in property taxes.
This would be a gift, not income. They are not one in the same. Currently there is a lifetime exemption of about $14 million per person for the estate and gift tax... not that I'd recommend that route

I would imagine that most any organization you donate to would be turning around to sell it. It's difficult to store and there are liability issues with vets & kids using boats. Nonetheless, here are some that come to mind with local offices. Even if they sell them, the value could help their mission
Disabled Vets
Wounded Warrior
Vietnam Vets
American Legion
Bridge House
Boy Scouts - could even donate to a local Troop
YMCA
